Yes agree, we need action and this type of film raises awareness which will protect some from even going there. And there's these 'self-help' cults now, not just scientology but also ones that start off with some great purpose of helping you grow and then perhaps helping the less fortunate and then move from that into a vague spiritual realm. Or they use religious tools and twist them so they can abuse people with fear of damnation or disrespecting their all-knowing wise leaders. I totally believe in God but not the malevolent twisting of who God is and what the bible means to just suit the people making money or putting people in sexual abuse or servitude situations. The great thing is documentaries and real testimonies are freeing people from it. There is a lot less shame and guilt for those who unwittingly got caught up in it. We're human and we like to belong and feel part of something bigger. Not everyone realises what is happening till it's already happened!

Yes keep on reminding everybody in NZ about this wicked society of child molesters. This men must pay for their crime against children. Why do NZ protect them? Get in and put the perpetrators behind bars whee they belong. Do it with an official warrant that will open the ones living there's eyes.

If you can hunt down the book by Phil Cooper. It is called Sins of the father. There is also Lilia Tarwara (not sure if this is spelled right). Her book is daughter of Gloriavale. Phil is the son of Neville (Hopeful Christian) and was there at the beginning of Gloriavale. Lilia is Neville granddaughter. Her mother is Miracle is a sibling of Phil. Both give a more firm understanding of some of the coming and goings of Gloriavale especially around the founder

The video clips are actual footage of the the people who expose the culture. I thought the same too at first, but as you gain a better of understanding of how difficult it is for them to gather evidence, the footage itself becomes integral to the storyline. I found you have to remain open minded. My husband refused to come with me because his mindset was already shaped by news and his own opinion of religious thought.
