Ristie was in slow motion 4 and 5th round. He goes to the guard of Robin like looking for something lost.

Whatever happened to Ristie? He randomly KO'd Petrosyan and Van Roosmalen and then just kind of fizzled out of the scene.

To be honest, I think Andy got slower....looks like from the weight gain...I also noticed that he's been starting his fight fast and he doesn't have the cardio to go 5 rounds.

***** And remember how Buakaw never won, except after two easy victories while Souwer, who consistently defeated him, had two incredibly difficult fights? Remember how Buakaw often used clinching and throwing to keep away the superior skills of people like Souwer and Masato?

I understand the power difference in Roosmalen, but this is not the same fighter that beat Giorgio Petrosyan in Ristie. Holy shit what a chin! At some point during the 4th round you have to think of long term condition of your fighter 4-5 punches w/ the other fighter's hands completely down, no guard.... 3-4 combinations while the legs gone and the guard is down... you gotta call it or throw the towel.. *BUT it was a defending/ fight for the belt... so i respect it.. but holllly damn! If this was ONE Championship all you'd hear is Michal S. "The big kabooshhh, the big kaboosh, the big kaboosh, He's on wobble street, Left hook, Left hook... etc etc." (as in, any one of those shots were biblical power fight ending punches... "Good Night Irene" style)

Idk if the ref saved Robin. Andy getting tired as fuck seemed to be more responsible for his downfall. The ref saying "watch your head" whenever Andy would roll under was definitely annoying as fuck though.
@stopcry-nalready69773 жыл бұрын
Ristie needs a new training crew else he doesn't listen clearly his path to a victory was to stay on the outside n go for points for a win to stand n show u have heart n will bang is irrelevant the win n loose rate is what puts u on the track to bigger n better n my opinion opportunities missed

Ritie is a very good fighter but he seams toran outof gas almost every match and that is his biggest problems he really needs a real Thai corner man to give him an instructions on how to fight in between round

Very unintelligent fight by ristie. He kept the range well in round 1 and presumably could’ve done that the whole fight but for some stupid reason he decides to stay in the pocket and box with RVR
@erickhouston65264 жыл бұрын
Give credit where it's due man. Roosmalen is known to be a pressure fighter so it's hard to fight him from outside because he's constantly in your face throwing bombs and trying to corner you. It's a simple but effective tactic.

Everyone is telling this untill you put a dutch fighter against a thailand fighter,and most of the time muay thai loose. They win only on their territory with help of their own people :))

In my honest opinion as a fan of Glory and Muay Thai, both these guys cannot beat Buakaw in MT. Robin looks like a better version of Zambidis. That's easy to beat. All you do is kick to the front and side kick really hard as Buakaw did to Zambidis. Robin throws a lot of wide hooks like Zambidis and has the same stance. Both these fighters don't have the stamina or conditioning to beat Buakaw as I can see. Even the skills are not close with Buakaw b/c Buakaw puts his hands up and out when other strike him and he backs away from blows.....Buakaw also has faster and more powerful kicks. His kicks are higher and deadlier too.....If you factor in the elbows, sweeps, and knees, then these guys really have no chance whatsoever. Like Nicky had no chance with Buakaw, it would be the same outcome for these guys. So yeah, that's what I think.
@megasif9 жыл бұрын
***** I see everything you're saying before I post but I also am seeing that Nieky has the same stance where he exposes the whole front. Should you know about fighting, esp. MT, you should know this stance lacks power, skills and movements. All Buakaw has to do to defend this is just what he did in the first fight which is front kick to the stomach...b/c the body is open and this stance slows you down. Nieky's best shots from his stance are hooks to the body and to the head which I see Buakaw putting his hands up to neutralize or backs away. I also see that Nieky's got better now b/c he learns to block even more with a tighter block. This works in Glory b/c not too many knees or elbows are thrown in Glory. I do see that he has a better chance but he wouldn't win. I wish they would do it again or try Roosmalen for all the marbles.
@megasif9 жыл бұрын
Kristen Veldhoven I would like to disagree. I don't want to point out everything again. I did simplify it for you already. I did also say MT. I know K1 and Glory rules don't favor MT. To be a MT fighter in these organizations, you have to do what Koklai did. That's running and moving b/c you cannot stand there to trade it you don't get to clinch or whatever. Anyhow, Koklai is the best at K1. Period. I've never seen anyone that small fight anyone so tall and big. I don't even understand why they fight without elbows or how holding a leg is illegal. That's gayer than Justin Bieber.
@megasif9 жыл бұрын
Kristen Veldhoven I'm not going to argue with you. I did say Koklai's style is best for KI as with Settichai....but Buakaw no....as he is an elbow and knee type....I did write that right?????? I don't know shit about K1 rules and I don't wish to stupid...but I don't fight like that stupid shit. It's silly. Thank you.
@megasif9 жыл бұрын
So I should stop arguing?
@TheNEOverse9 жыл бұрын
megasif This is kickboxing, not muay thai. Btw, you're not as much as a fan of Glory as you think you are.
