Footage has been discovered in the BBC archives of a cattle auction in Gloucestershire that paved the way for the protection of native rare breed farm animals. The sale, in Arlingham, led to the setting up of the Rare Breeds Survival Trust by Joe Henson. One of the other founding members was Eric Freeman, who’s being remembered at a special farming festival tomorrow. Here’s our Gloucestershire reporter, Steve Knibbs…
