He takes a LOT of time to prep for challenges. It'll sometimes take hours to have all of the rules and programs working. Remember the Fartocracy? That was supposed to be a small segment before actually playing Spelunky and it just took up the whole stream.

I remember I joined the stream way back in May, was relaxing and watching, when suddenly the laundry alarm went off and I thought I was about to die, or a fire alarm or air raid siren had gone off or something. I was not there when the alarm was set. I think I lost four years off my life.
