We took this video to show you how to remove and replace the glove box also know as glove compartment on a Ford Focus Third Generation. It will be the same procedure for the European and the US Version from 2011 to current model 2016.
All you will need is a flat head screwdriver and a t25 tool. There is 5 screws and a few clips that hold the glovebox in place.
It should not take you more than 5-10 minutes to do it after you watch the video.
This procedure should work on:

Good to know if you are doing a remote start, As you can do the whole installation behind the glovebox. Almost identical to doing the newer Ford Escapes as well.

For anyone doing any stereo upgrade in your Focus SE or ST, the best way to get a 4 gauge or 0 gauge wire into the cabin is through the firewall from behind the glovebox. There is a grommet you can use or there is adequate space to drill a new hole. Just remember if drilling to clean up the edges of the hole so the are not sharp and also wrap the wire multiple times with electrical tape or shrink tube to further protect the wire where it passes through the hole. I typically go overkill putting 3 or 4 layers of shrink tube and then also covering that section of wire with the plastic braided loom like they use to cover wires in gaming PCs. Run the power wire up the passenger side of the vehicle and the RCA, remote turn on/bass remote etc up the drivers side. It's unfortunate that the battery isn't on the passenger side as it results in needing 4 or 5 feet more power wire but it is what it is.

There's alot that goes into designing things, the placement of screws for ease of removal on parts that are very seldomly if ever going to come out are not exactly high on the priority list. They are also designed to be easy to put together in the factory depending on the order the parts are installed. Most stations on car assembly lines are sub 30 seconds so it has to be made to go in fast. They simply can't design something to be easy for the end user should they EVER actually remove that part.

I removed all of the screws and loosened the clips like the video but there's somthing still holding on for dear life can't get the glove box out 😭
