Hi guys! I've been wanting to paint these colourful Christmas lights for a while now. Despite how it looks it's actually quite easy as long as you understand the basic steps, which is then repeated with different colours to make these realistic looking glass textures so I hope that you guys don't feel intimidated by the looks of it. I personally had so much fun painting them and I hope you guys enjoy it as much as I did painting them!

I did it !!! And it came out good, not as good as yours but very pretty!!!!! Has been almost 40 years that I haven paint and finally I decided to do it today, I showed it to my kids and they love it! Thank you so much!!

Truthfully... I usually do NOT like background music (noise) when I'm watching a tutorial... but your selection of (low) christmas music in the background was PERFECT. Very Soothing... Loved this video.

You know, you're actually a really great teacher! The way you did the pencil sketch to show us where you place the colors and then how and where you pull them down to blend! That is perfect to help people that don't really understand watercolors completely yet to really show them how to manipulate the medium! Wonderful job!

Wow! These lights look so real! This is the first watercolor video that I’ve seen that didn’t look so hard to do! I’m sure it would be for me since I’m new to watercolors! I really like how you show us to just stay calm and carry on when a mistake is made. I am learning to lean into it and just move forward, it really helps me realize not to sweat the small stuff and also to problem solve.

Hello Nianiani, ....one interesting thing about light, is our yellow sun, gives us purply shadows. If we had a red sun, we would have green shadows. In light mixing, the shadow is the complimentary opposite. Nice little strand of lights. Thanks for your calm video, and the great tip when over loading the liner brush, to wipe off excess first. Thank you for your generous and concise tutorial! I injured my shoulder over a year ago. I lost my ability to paint for awhile. I healed , thank you, Lord! Yet, I found myself in a mental block to paint, again.. I was so inspired after watching this video! Although, I’m rusty....it felt so good to paint such happy painting! I modified the background.
