After fifteen years of hunting white seabass, I finally realized the best way to describe it...it's the magical dance between boredom and exhilaration. As you swim around the cold murky water, with almost nothing but kelp in sight you begin to daydream. You have to snap out of it into complete awareness because when a white seabass materializes, you have to be on point, and ready to take your best shot. This time of year can be more exiting with the proliferation of sharks & barracuda. After shooting your white seabass, don't leave it on the bottom too long, or you might bring up just the head. Here's a short video out diving with Corban.
