Thank you, Well explained and helped me save some money dealer wanted $150 for new key😮. Fixed for less than $20 and a beer😂

I only have one fob so how do I program it without an existing one?

See video at 10:43. If you have a key&fob that will start the car (regardless of whether the buttons work on the fob) then you can program the new fob. If you dont have a key you have to go to a dealer. In any event this video only applies to this style of GM key&fob combination.
