My Cyl 2 injector was jammed in closed position, no clicking. Tried every method on KZfaq, all failed . After giving up and ordering new one, I decided to *BOIL* the injector in water. Boiled for 5 minutes , then put in cold water. Dried it, connected to 12 V , it started clicking. :) Then I flushed it with carb cleaner. The flushing removed a ton of dirt and the water I introduced :)

You have a good method of presenting. My issue is with getting the o-rings to not get damaged when putting it back together.

I usually just grab a small dab of the ole lady’s lotion or some Vaseline (whichever is closest) and lightly coat the o-rings and with the residue that’s left on my fingers,no build up. I’ll run my finger in the injector holes in the intake.. then they will go in with almost no effort. 🤣🧴 it works and I’ve yet to have an old or new o ring fail or damage an o ring!

What is the difference between simply cleaning the old injectors vs. installing new "upgrade" injectors besides the price? And....what is your procedure for cleaning fuel injectors? Great video. Thanks

Brother if your injector is still pumping I almost gurantee you can clean it to a great condition again spray pattern wise. Use alligator clamps and some tiny wires to jump the plug to a small 12v battery like a smoke detector takes and rig up a can of sensitive electrical component cleaner you can buy it at auto zone usually. Then you just spray the cleaner while you tap the connection to the battery and do it until it atomizes the fuel instead of spraying it

02 chevy Silverado v8 4.8 fuel pump works fine but I have a slow loss of fuel pressure in the lines. It’s very intermittent problem where at cold starts I get a no start until about the 2nd or 3rd try engine sounding as if it’s barely catching fuel but then starts and runs good after that but it does this some days and other days at cold starts the trucks starts right up with no problem. I’m a DIY guy but I literally learn as my problems occur so I’m having trouble finding the issue. People say check the fuel pressure pinch this line or that line but I have no clue where that is. Sorry if I’m all over the place. It’s just this issue has had me stressing

My bet is on the fuel pump itself. There is usually a one way check valve inside the pump. Once that valve starts to fail, you get what you are experiencing... intermittent hard to start. To help verify this, on cold starts, prime the fuel before starting the truck. If it starts right up after priming, go for the fuel pump. Hope this helps 🙏

Ok 👍. I just put in fuel pump and fuel lines , truck ran good now today I can’t get it started and stay running, would you know what it could be, it’s not the fuel relay

I found our the fuel pump i got from O'Reilly auto parts That cost me $258 failed after 4 days pulled it out and got my money back abd got a GM fuel pump at amazon for $88.99

One of the mechanics I follow did exactly this and it worked to solve his problem. He was lucky to find working OEM from the same model

Wich injectors number are on that side are you working first I tried to change the number 6 injector and I don't know where is it ....I know the numbers cross.

Usually on these the evens are on the passenger side. Starting with number 2 closest to the front of the engine. And, yes, the side I was working on should be the evens.

@@victorgutierrez5826 This one did not have any misfires to begin with. For your cylinder 6 misfire, if you've changed the spark plugs, wires, and injector and you're still having the misfire, then there is a good chance your problem is a bad lifter for cylinder 6. Hope that helps.
