If they only would get their sh*t together with the packaging. Sometimes I have keycaps jumbled around from the 1st layer on the 2nd layer. No idea how this can even happen haha.

Wow that was very interesting to see. But that tool to decide on the warped spacebars seems a bit questionable, no? Kinda not surprised I got a warped spacebar last week if this is the test to decide on. It feels like they would have better options to decide on it if they wanted as they have so much different equipment to measure things.

So do you prefer GMK then over PBT? And if so what are some of your reasons?

who doesn't? brighter colors, better sound, better surface texture, sharper legends, higher quality overall

@@eraserheadSH That's fair. I tend to like the not as bright look, sound true but most comes from switches and case, I agree with legends and I find personally PBT better quality and can be harder to form in production and therefore can warp.

Do you mean ABS over PBT? GMK makes both now. I find PBT to be generally a deeper and more muted sound. Sometimes a board sounds better with one or the other. It's all preference in the end. I prefer the feel/sound of ABS. And I'll disagree in part that most sound comes from the switches/case... while that's true... caps definitely matter and sound audibly different even to an untrained ear.

True it is preference but I will agree keycaps 100% make a difference in sound I think a great sound change can come from the switches and keyboard and minor sound change from keycaps. But still can notice a difference with different types of keycaps yes.

No wonder why GMK sets is expensive. Though there some few brand out there that will give run for your money but the gmk keycap sound is unbetable

nu-uh, spacebar warp issue was solved with the last sets they've been shipping. since Blot all my spacebars have been dead straight. gotta find a new meme :(

They end up selling them to Oblotzky. Oblotzky is selling gmk sets that Mech and co ordered we all know what happened to them. MKB don't have the money. There selling keycaps sets at half price no way going to survive any longer sadly.

@@ChiefBrianIrons absolutely not guardanteed. oblotzky is one man and there is no feasible way for him to manage the thousands of sets mykb ordered back then. plus there's a ton of garbage sets that ran at the peak of the hobby that no one wants now, it would be foolish of him to stock up on those. he sold a small fraction of the M&C that novelkeys salvaged, completely different scale.

@@eraserheadSH he probably buy the sets he knows that will sell or get them at heavy discount. He didn't buy all the sets or quantities he clearly tested the water first and only restocked what sold fast. I agree most where trash sets so he probably won't buy them up but GMK now have stock that hard to move. There no way MKB has the money to buy all the sets.

Embrace the shine. Although you might want to look into Iontophoresis therapy for sweaty hand and feet. Helped me a lot

Why does a German keycap manufacturer not make German language keycaps trip their sets.. I don't get it. Preference I want Nordic, but German is also good, but most of their sets only have English or American layout 🙄

GMK isn't designing these keycaps. They're manufacturing them. GMK has their keycap profiles, which is the basis of the keycap's shape, but that's it. It's up to the designer, who doesn't work for GMK, if they want to include different legends or characters on their kits.

GMK's quality is going down day by day. My GMK taiga's 1.5u buttons has misaligned stems. GMK R1 is the best.

GMK invest in triple shot uv printing isn't the same it will fade away. Also packaging is poor against other companies that charged a lot less for their sets.
