There's a mod on the workshop called "VRMod HUD" that puts your healthbar on the back of your left hand. Might be worth downloading if you end up playing more maps that have enemies in them.

That last ghost with its smooth movement was unsettling, that is my favorite type of scare as well, something that just peaks around the corner smoothly.

That first map gave me some of the most weirdly specific nostalgia I've ever felt.

At 18:12 that is a model from the Half-Life 2 mod “Grey” it’s really good. Definitely up there with Cry of Fear. Now that I’m further in, basically all of the custom models in that one are from Grey.

the nightmare church map is pretty nostalgic for me, remember when it first came out around i think around 2012 to 2014 and playing it after it released on the workshop.

You should take a look at Growing Map by Chopper. It's an interesting one, to say the least.

I’m pretty amazed by the fact you’ve got the guts to play these, especially in VR. I also recommend to turn on using world models in the vrmod settings to fix any weird model bugs you have with guns/tools you hold.

I hope you see this comment, because at 7:00, you can see that it seems like hurt triggers don't hurt you. You are supposed to die there. It activates a death trigger (a hurt trigger with alot of damage) and resets it after you respawn as well as the girl blocking the way. The same goes for the electric fence and the fish pond. They both have hurt triggers. I don't know if that helps in anyway...

That last map was amazing. The scares that can spook you without loud noises, the look of the map itself and your reaction to it were great. The way you move and hold the flashlight in VR just makes the video so imersive. Loving these exploration videos in VR. Also, can't wait for your next analisys video.

I really wished there was a Gmod horror map combined with a S.W.A.T or Police themed story. Like, you're a police officer called to attend a distress call and things turn paranormal the more you delve into the case.

The odd movement youre thinking of probably falls under Uncanny Valley. I also appreciate the silent jumpscare. No loud violin noise B's.

Subtle jumpscares are my favorite kind, they just embody the same kind of quiet, sudden terror you used to get from those "when you see it" pictures

I would recommend something like a night vision goggles addon but those can ruin scares that rely on the limited view of your flashlight to be effective. Plus, unsure how they'd work in VR.

I don't usually comment on videos much, but your videos really deserve it. I started with the liminal hotel video and pretty much immediately you became one of my absolute favorite youtubers (i can't really pick between my favorites because they make entirely different things, so you share the number one spot with some others). You just have a way of finding excellent horror content, and commentating on it in just the perfect way. You give a lot of insight into how horror works, and i feel like it will genuinely help me a ton when i finally make a horror game in the future (I'm an aspiring gamedev. Still have some things to learn before i can really pull off what i wanna make though). Keep up the amazing work! EDIT: The chains in the second one really remind me of the horton mine. With creepy maps like the 2nd part, maybe try the Cry of Fear Lantern addon , or the Amnesia Lantern addon, or the [VManip] Glow Stick.

If I remember correctly, that baby doll is not a custom asset, it's from a Half-Life 2 mod called GREY, similar to Cry of Fear. As well as that massive life sized doll and etc...I can really see the inspiration from it.

I recommend playing a horror map called The Accident its one of the highest rated maps in workshop, I played it its very well made

Hello Mr. Librarian, I had controler tracking problems like these due to a mirror in my room, reflective surfaces really disrupt the laser tracking of the base stations so if you have any mirrors or reflective surfaces in the line of sight of the base stations, cover them up. Great content as well, always a good watch!

If you sat down and read the 'scary Stories to tell in the dark' I'd listen to every second of it lol.

You know something that might be fun, if you have the game? Half Life Alyx custom maps. There are actually a few horror maps for the game, and given how it's built from the ground up with VR in mind, the immersion could be nuts.
