I have seen the 1959 version over and over again until now bec of its in my sick fathers playlist. But this one gives a lot of depth, justice and meaning. The cause of Christ here was well explained. This one made me cry. I love the forgiveness between the two brothers.

Los filmes referentes a romanos y cintas biblicas de los 50 y 60s. Eran muy reales las tomas y eran mejores que los filmes de hoy¡!! En las cintas de hoy le agregan mucha computacion y son nas oscuras ! No hay comparacion con las peilculas del ayer que eran mas reales en todo!! I think part of the problem here is the horses are not galloping. They are cantering. The original has them going full out, fast as they can go. But in this one, even when the horses are urged, they keep a fairly collected pace. Maybe the kind of frantic, wild look of the original was due to the wild appearance of the horses.

The featuring of Rodrigo Santoro 🇧🇷 was beautiful = he is great actor, and let his personal bright ...✨✨✨ Toby Kebel, great actor ; ...I love all the movies where he appears. He is gorgeous, as a professional and as a man....* Looooove him....love his eyes and the way he put emotions on them. Señores con cuerdo con Marfio Flores cuando menciona que "La Tecnología sola no basta" y es verdad. Esta película fue todo un desastre y un fiasco. Nunca jamás va a superar a la de 1959. Aún con TODA la tecnología.

Cristian Vejar y la carrera de cuadrigas de la versión del 59 es una copia casi toma por toma de la versión del 25 que para la época fue un logro mayor. Te invito a verla

Típico qe nomas tunden con todo lo nuevo y no valoran nada los efectos de hoy en día ni se dan cuenta de los errores del pasado ni las mejoras de hoy como hacerlo mas creíble y real los dramas sin tanto respeto pura música como las películas de antes por eje.. Esta y otras recrecciones modernas podrán gustar o no pero almenos le meten mas realismo a los dramas circunstancias efectos historia no como antes eran muy tranquilas música y con mucho respeto las escenas qe deberían ser fuertes eran poco creíbles por eje. Las de la crucifixión de cristo las de antes no se compara con el realismo de la pasión de cristo del 2004 qe tambien recibio muchas criticas pero almenos esta mas creíble fuerte pero así fue lo mas similar en la vida real de como se crucificaba no como las de los 50 60 80 eran muy pasivas sus crucifixión y música drama eran buenas películas como esta pero tenían errores y poco creíbles también las nuevas tienen algunos errores pero como digo son mas cercanas la vida real sus historias y seguramente dentro de otros 50 años aran otra nueva de esta con mas tecnología y mejoras y serán criticadas y alomejor dirán qe estaba mejor esta del 2016 y la de los 50s por qe así somos siempre vamos criticando lo mas nuevo no se nis da gusto con nada

They are so much invaluable Hungarian Lippizanner and Nonius horses, so they were take care very much. Messala s Nonius horse cart is drived by Juhász László; Hungarian World Champion horsedriving. His son Jr.Juhász László; driving Ben Hur s Lippizian Horse cart. The other horses is Hungarian. 42 Hungarian horses were at the moving.

Nunca igualaran la superproducción de 1959, la actual tiene un argumento muy vago, hacen a un lado la fe, yo le apostaría siempre a Ben-Hur 1959.

No señores esta producción se queda corta ante la versión de 1959, el Ben Hur actual no le llega en hidalgia a Charlton Heston, este tiene tipo de niño rico de estos de hoy en día que se llevan en las discotecas todo el día y toda la noche, mientras que el Ben Hur de Charlton Heston si parecía un soldado romano de la época, la música se queda corta porque la música original exaltaba la magnificencia de Roma Imperial, es increíble que la canción del 2016, tema de esta producción sea una balada entre música Pop y Rock de los ´90s que nada tiene que ver con la magnitud que logro la película de 1959, le mostré a mi hija de 12 años los dos trailer: el actual y el antiguo, ella no conoce la versión de 1959, hasta que le se la mostré y le pregunte ¿Cual prefería de las dos? ella me contesto que le gustaba mas la de 1959.

The 1959 version felt like it had more emotional stakes, and drew me in. This was mostly flashy eye candy.

The '59 version was flawless, but this one is one flaw after another. Mediocre acting and writing and several integral parts of the story were left out. What a terrible movie. I was expecting much, much more from a $100m production. Why did Roma and Mark even bother?

Horses shown in the clip they chose as a still to introduce at least one trailer are clearly wearing modern "Liverpool" driving bits -- too obvious!!!!

Realism in this version has gone out of the window. Look at the hairstyles of 'Ben-Hur' and 'Masala'..... Pathetic. They are 2019 ordinary hairstyles LMFAO

So what the fuck? all of this guy wearing modern pants in those days? Even Judah Ben-Hur GF have a white pant on when they are horseback ride? really? This movie was totally garbage, its not even close in comparison to the one from 1959.
