Just extra info about Xinjiang. The heavy security is to counter separatist terrorism using bombs and long knives, not normal rioters. The last event happened in 2016. And that is also part of the reason why the West is so supportive of "that" Uyghur group.

Hi, great video! May I ask, for Hongkongness, how did you rent a car in mainland China and what documents were required. Was HK driver license sufficient? Many thanks!

Sure😝! Here are some of the steps I made to rent the car. 2 easy step! ☀1) change HK driver license to China license (need 1-2 days to do some easy body check and attend workshop ) ☀2) find a car on app such as ctrip/神州租車, they will list all the car and price with many pickup location!! Tips: if you spend enough on alipay and earned enough "trust score", no deposit is required!! FYI the car I rent is around $300 rmb per day~

I will suggest you going to Turpan or Hami if you have limited time travelling in Xinjiang. Especially in summer period, the grape and melon are so sweet in there. You will feel regret if you miss them.

@@Ruth_Explores 她们日本人来中国 倒是不需要签证 有两个星期免签.她最近自己瞎研究去新疆的路线 她说是从东部飞到甘肃玩 再从张掖做火车一路欣赏美景去吐鲁番.正常游玩的话 外国人应该没什么不便.谢谢介绍推荐.不过应该不去滑雪.两人冬天一直滑雪 都是老司机了.

新疆真他妈大，哈哈，由南到北开车都要好几天。风景各种地貌，一绝。水果，羊肉，美味啊。就是到处都是安检，让人心里怀疑是不是那么不安全。

@@Ruth_Explores 没办法地处边境地区之前发生的太多恐怖袭击以及骚乱不止你提及的那次而是延续的好多年，导致政府大力整顿。不过现在安全问题不用担心只是需要安检的地方比较多会有一些些不方便

Thanks for asking! not sure about that. It might depends on the car rental company! Even for us with HK driving license, we need to ask and check one by one. Not all of them accept driving license from other places! 😝

For this Tank 300 specifically, I think it consume quite a lot as it's a mid-size SUV, it cost around $350 rmb for 350 km distance.

我們去的時候是淡季，租車大約每天320 Rmb,，異地還車要視乎平台/ 車商(通常要加錢)。坦克油耗挺大的！每百公里油耗15升左右😝

I don't think it's true because some foreigner youtubers travel in Xinjiang as well, but there may have some military sensitive areas, it may have a bit restriction in some areas.

新疆除了一些邊境之外應該不需要吧，例如喀納斯有個景點叫白哈巴靠近邊境的，在遊客服務中心附近的公安局就能申請了。

注意，注意新彊已發现集中营，羊肉串，羊肉湯人人搶，带吾夠錢就無得入去搶。

@@Ruth_Explores 我在乌鲁木齐开VPN看你晒游记😂😂😂还点了关注等你更新😂😂😂 新疆有十几个民族世居，不同地区不同民族比例，当地传统饮食也有差异，所有推荐你路上吃喝时，多了解那份食物背后的故事，比如哈萨克族的熏马肠、奶茶、马肉纳仁（为什么奶茶是咸的，为什么哈萨克和蒙古族奶茶都得用砖茶/茯茶熬煮，为什么好奶茶上一层奶皮子，为什么正宗传统纳仁是肉多面多蔬菜少）再比如锡伯族的大饼和鸽子酱、维吾尔族的穆塞莱斯（葡萄酒）背后的故事和历史将会在你欣赏风景之余非常充实你的脑瓜😁 你这阵来的确会完美避开很多地方的经典景色，季节不对😅 就连瓜果都不到季节（最近只有早熟的杏子吃） 带着问题去吃喝吧，一定让旅途更有趣！大美新疆好吃好喝的很多！ 麦趣尔销售业绩不如本地其它品牌，懂了歪脑筋，在内地销售的产品里超标使用了一种不在牛奶制品适用范围内的食用香精，被政府狠狠的罚款了🤪成为新疆品牌之耻… 奶皮子就是全脂牛奶熬煮冷却后，凝结在表面的奶油层，好的奶茶熬煮后会单独兑入奶皮子，让奶茶更纯香。在乌鲁木齐的话，南门人民电影院旁边的伊香奶茶值得一喝，那家熏马肠也很棒（熏马肠吃肥瘦相间的最香） 全脂酸奶和老酸奶的表面也有浮起凝固的奶油层，口感滑腻。 在新疆买袋装纯牛奶煮开，冷却时表面都会一层奶皮子。 唉，我啰啰嗦嗦瞎说很多，因为29号有被我忽悠来新疆的新加坡朋友一家😅好多话是我原本准备给他们扫盲的（和你一样完美避开完美的季节，朋友假期时间所限…） 最后分享 旺源的驼奶粉值得买，哈萨克族牧民的酥油也值得买些品尝（本质上和烘焙黄油块一样，只是脱水没那么厉害），塔城和伊宁的格瓦斯也值得推荐！你们开车了，不能多喝乌苏啤酒，那就喝蜂蜜格瓦斯吧😄 最后牛奶袋插吸管独家秘笈： 吸管一头叼在嘴里，捏紧利乐包，吸管尖头对准那个锡箔洞洞，尽量垂直些，迅速插入。不会漏出来啦，有也是进嘴里了。 塑胶袋的也是这招

@@Ruth_Explores 另，少在景区吃喝，相对于正常商业地区，景区吃喝肯定是性价比不好的。多在城镇居民商业区找地方吃饭，表明身份，找本地人推荐，美食体验会更精准划算。新疆饮食肉面米多，超市买些水果西红柿黄瓜这些路上吃再买些不同口味的馕，顶饿还补维生素，可以预防上火。自驾游长途很累，不是有越野经验也没越野计划的话，建议租有辅助驾驶配置的车，路上轻松很多。 唉，你们时间太短了，不知道今年6月10日独库公路能准时开放么，时间有条件推荐走一趟一路四季的独库公路，去那拉提空中草原看一看
