Between the endless forests and reflective lakes of southern Sweden, lies Växjö; the greenest city in Europe. Local resident, Magnus Hörberg, takes you on a tour of his city and the magnificent province of Småland.

I have lived in växjö for 10 years and i am 11 years old 01:16 I have been on that exact brown bridge 01:23 that exact tree I have seen many times and a bit longer down the road there is a restaurant where I used to eat around once a week for years and I have been in that building to the left of the tree and my mom in that exact building bought an ice cream and I ate it 01:24 that fountain I have seen also very many times and when I walk on the wooden road next to it I can feel water spraying at me because the wind blows it. Växjö is a very nice place to live at

How is weather in Sweden? Is it always cold there or not?
@cathrinerydstrom3761 Жыл бұрын
Sorry for a late answer. No it's not always cold. Växjö is in the south an we have pretty warm summers - wonderful spring and a great fall with colours. below 0 celsius is only wintertime/Cathrine from Växjö.

that is the city center behind the church and not far from that there are Kolonilotten or where everyone can grow their food, I think in that exact place you have to rent or something to ensure you get the lot.

3:10 "Fifteen minutes, twenty minutes and you're at a very remote place." Do you mean fifteen minutes by foot? By bike? By car? By bus? 🧐
@caseyalanjones Жыл бұрын
It looks like Sweden Zipline shown in the shot just after this statement as if to illustrate it is 40 minutes from the city by car, 2.5 hours by bike, 10 hours by foot, and has no public transit connectivity. 😕 Are residents of Växjö forced to use a car if they want to access nature? How long does it take to get to such a place for a person choosing to live sustainably?
@totem168 Жыл бұрын
I think what he said in general, even with bike you can get to very remote place within 15 minutes or so, I liked biking around the national bike road/route and always started my journey from the church.
@totem168 Жыл бұрын
@@caseyalanjones The zipline is outside of Växjö. I think some buses go there in summer, but please don't quote me since I have never been there. Even though I have lived in Växjö for more than 5 years, and even today, my family is still there while currently I am in Stockholm to study.

Växjö ain't even the greenest city/town in Sweden, this year they fell down to place 33 in the Swedish list.
