Singapore also has a fantastic water management system in place as well as a waste disposal framework. Unfortunately recycling is very low and probably we’re waiting on the world to invent ways to help with that, right now mostly incinerated. Wildlife is thriving on this small island which is also a good indication of how clean the overall environment is. Kudos to the Singapore govt!

Recycling is low, but we have waste to energy power plants. And there are alot of countries doing recycling, but export these waste of containers to Asia. Is there anyway to ensure other countries that were doing recycling, the recycled materials actually went to recycling or dump to landfill instead.

For those who might not have realized, Singapore is both a city and a country. The reservoirs, military installations, air/naval bases, oil refineries, factories, airports, shipyards, incinerators, power plants, farms and many more where you find outside or within outskirt of other cities, these are all confined within the city Island of Singapore.

poor management and building owners choose to not have green in their property cause it would cost them more in building it and it will also cost them more for sustaining life in it. so they choose the side where they will have more profit in our city tho its not as great as the ones on the video there where alot of big and tall trees that are covering the road that makes it nice and cool but our government decided to chop all the trees down not just the old once even the small and young trees

As cities and towns continue to grow in terms of size and population, there is increasing demand for planners to manage these changes. Planners frequently work with other professionals such as engineers, architects, building surveyors, economists, developers, politicians, scientists, and environmental scientists.

I visited the 2 places, and I’d have voted for Singapore. Might be more of a feeling, but the vibe is just more ecological and fair over there. Plus if I’m correct, there’s no gov managed cheap accommodation options in Copenhagen; or it’s certainly not covering as much population. I find overall the efforts of the Si vapote government much stronger.

As Singaporean yes I'm proud we r on the list but he aware that recycling and wastage is extremely high in our country. It's only recently that we started adopting electric vehicles. Our green activists feel progress has been very slow and I agree. This is largely due to the fact that our biggest export is refined petroleum and organic chemicals. It is very difficult to shift and political commitment is lower than one I would desire. So if u are wondering how is sg so sustainable, and what is the other side of the story, here u go:)

Ah, Indonesia like the Pacific Northwest and the demise of the Red Wood Tree Groves, and like Brazil and the destruction of the Amazon Rainforest, and now Indonesia, the destruction of the Borneo and Sumatra Rainforests to make room for Palm Oil Plantations. How many Orangutan are left? About the same number of Pacific Red Wood Trees I suspect. Yes. Modern Eco Cities. See it's the repackaging of a failed model. Why cities at all? Oh, because we need 8.5-10 Billion People on Earth. Really? I think Humanity could survive as a species with about 1.0-1.5 Billion on Earth. It's the rest of the Species that seem to be disappearing. Sorry If I offended your new modern city. I am not a fan of new cities being built where Rain Forests are now standing and have been for thousands of years. Do us all a favor you young women out there. Go to college and study Hydrology or Biology or Estuarine Ecology instead of Medicine or Business or Computer Science. Then don't get married at all and maybe have one child when you are 30.

Without ONE numerical indicator, it will not be possible to focus sustainability! Energy, use and misuse is the cause of all, good and bad. So, the greenest energy is the energy we don't MISUSE.

Easiest way to get back water in our place, in wells , in kamma, in kuttai, in kulam, in ponds, in lakes, in streams, in rivers, ... All used water , Bathing, washing clothes, Washing utensils .. .. Should go into soil Soil will become like kumbhi , trash, bad smelly marsh, if soap, nirma, vim, lysol, shampoo, ...are used Do not use any of these . Without them How to ? Okay --------- Bathing: Take little water in mug or small basin Take a piece of cotton cloth - kerchief or old banian cloth or old shirt piece .. Thundu or towel means piece of cloth Rinse cloth in mug water Gently softly use that cloth to clean all parts of body Arm pits also Back neck Knee Under knee Under thighs All places of body Especially the places from where body wastes come out No soap needed or No flour powder - maida, kadalai, nothing needed ---------- Next utensils For oily utensils, use small bits bits of paper, small bits to clean oil first Then rub fine soft ash powder or soft soil particle or soft wood particles to remove dark black spots in utensils Use little water very little water with that to rub Use little water to rinse away ash , wood, soil particles Allow this water into soil ------- For washing clothes We anyway buy clothes again within a year Most buy three times a year All clothes can be worn for atleast three years, but we stop using them after a year or two So just plain water with little home made pure organic soap is enough if anybody know any other ways, please let me know All places including California, MiddleEast, Africa, China, Singapore, Japan, India have no easily directly drinkable water from wells, ponds, lakes, rivers But by doing what I say, we people can have them in our houses, village, towns No need to purify or aquafilter or any of those methods Because if soap is avoided, All nano organisms that are in air, water, soil, plants, trees, ...will help retain good quality of water, air, soil, fruits, leaves, trees, ... complete ecosystem Soap and chemicals kill all all all bacteria, you know it , isn't it? All beings have capacity to inhale air, absorb needed gases and particles, and exhale unnecessary bad particles or bacteria out of the body Other than breathing out, all beings are Sweating, shitting etc to retain good bacteria and send out bad bacteria So no need of chemicals that only spoil all the nature god given ways of living Our country climate is good No need of AC, Fan, etc See we need sweating also to send out bad unnecessary particles out of body, to be healthy Do not allow city people inside our villages or towns They are only imagining that they are clever. They are not clever. They have lost their intelligence. But want to say villagers are poor, no money, etc.. so they think money is intelligence. Let them have money, car, AC Do not give them food. Then they will know . Car, AC, Tyres, fuel, petrol, tar roads, cement roads, paint, grease, ...all spoil our good soil, our air, our water, our rain water , all rain water is waste that fall on roads or grease or oil from vehicles, ... We need rain water. Those in cities or metro, should help to preserve atleast villages and towns Please do not spoil the only chance to know which of the habits are good. Atleast by seeing them, we can change cities also to get back intelligence, to get back our air, our water, our soil, our wells, our fruit trees, our cattles, our own milk dairy in each locality, suburb, ward, zones, own easily locally available fresh todays manure, fresh todays fresh morning vegetables and fresh fruits that are naturally fully grown and so naturally ripe to eat with all minerals and vitamins in a naturally ripe fruit. So avoid plucked half ripe fruits and then chemicals or smoke used to change color and fool ourselves eating unripe fruits So let us all strive to remain intelligent. 🙏🏼
