This is a review and flip through of GO Math 2nd grade homeschool curriculum. This is the math we use in our homeschool and we plan on using 3rd grade as well. I talk about our experience and give you a look into both of the textbooks.

This does not have the answer key. You have have to buy the teachers manual for that. Possibly even the homeschool bundle.

Chapter 1 pages fifteen. Is not done yet because explain on the line in the middle

One of my kids did go math grade 2 this year at home and I skipped a lot of the common core teaching and just taught it the regular way. She likes it but wants to switch to teaching textbooks next year. My youngest wants to try go math grade 1 next year and my oldest says she doesn't like tt anymore and wants to try go math grade 4 since its what they used in public school until last year.

Hi Emily! About how many pages per day did your daughter do in these books? Did you do a whole lesson in one day, or did you split it up? I'm brand new to homeschooling :)

Hi there! Welcome to homeschooling! So the lessons ended up being just too much for my daughter to do everyday. It’s a lot. And it’s very repetitive. So I would pick 3 or 4 pages for her to do a day from the lesson and then we just skip the rest. It’s really all about what’s right for your child. Do what feels good, If it gets too stressful do less pages! Never feel like you need to finish an entire book! Hope that helps!💕

Hello, could you please link the site where you buy go math? I found it on rainbow resource center, but it says it’s the homeschool edition. I’d like to know what the other editions say before I buy. Thank you!

Thanks so much for watching! So we don’t do the whole chapter anymore it’s just too much and I find it’s just drilling the lessons into their little brains. I go through the lesson ahead of time and mark a few pages for her to do. So we go over the practice problem together in the beginning and then she usually does about 3 pages on her own. Sometimes more or less depending on how she is grasping the lesson.

do you need a teachers manual / teachers edition ?

Hi Christina! You don't need one. But they do have them if you want them. I don't use a teacher's manual. It's very much set up as just a work text and we havent had any problems without one.

So when there is a new lesson they give an example problem at the beginning to show you how to do it. That has been sufficient enough to help us. Also I don't know about kindergarten level, but I have been able to find videos on youtube about some of the lessons when we need extra help.

@@carmonahomeschoolof3508 Oh k i found the student books online for 4$ each (kinder) and i can buy a new teachers manual for about $100 because i can't find a used one and i was wondering if i could get away w out the teachers portion . i get it in the mail ( the student portion ) next week

Question, my son uses the Texas Go Math edition at school and we will be transitioning into homeschooling next year and really enjoy the math books he has from school. Is this the same? Can't seem to find the exact ones he uses for sale..

No I believe Texas has their own version. But I’m pretty sure if you go to the website they have every version for sale.
