Lajitas is a fascinating oasis in the middle of the vast desert that makes up much of Big Bend Country in Texas, and it's famous for having a goat mayor named Clay Henry! Yes, you read that correctly - a GOAT MAYOR. After my private meeting with the mayor, things took an unexpected twist again and I ended up staying in Lajitas for more than just one night. Oh, so much has happened in Lajitas!

Amazing! First you have a Mayor eating out of the palm of your hand, then you are invited to camp in a no tent camping camp ground, learn to play a musical instrument and eat a fried pickle! I think the way your tent held up in that wind sold a few Lone Rider tents! The not so surprising thing is that, even in that wind, your hair always looked GREAT! A big shout out to the folks that took you in at the camp ground! Stay safe Kinga!

I love Long Draw Pizza! Best pizza in Terlingua! You probably know this by now, but the State Park headquarters is about an hour away from Lajitas down a 30 mile dirt road, so you got really lucky.
