Mixed signals? Muscles are designed to contract in a multitude of ways and at different levels of motor neuron firing. The body adapts to the stress imposed, granted the recovery is adequate. In dynamic movements like sprinting the hamstring is going to “push” and “pull” depending on the moment of the stride sequence it’s in. Saying the brain is confused is asinine. Then going on to recommend micro movements as a replacement? This is pseudo-intellect, marketing schilling, and confirmation bias at its peak.

Didn’t make sense to me either....and I’m a GOATA believer. But I also believe in ATG backwards walking, nordics, etc...

Also, GOATA likes to point to how babies/little kids move correctly ... they also tend to be better at doing Nordic when young, and start losing the ability as they get older

@@glsperformanceteam5304 First, you’re trying to gaslight me here with that comment. Not a good look, you can do better. Second, I don’t see how GOATA “goes against” anything (I’ve tried a lot of your movements, actually). There are some valuable movements you show people, I don’t deny that at all. As a movement based system, having people move by way of evolutionary biology - by way of how infants move - or by way of fractals or Fibonacci or whatever kind of vernacular. I get it. Here’s the main issue, GOATA presents as a movement system. You are movement coaches (valuable skill) but just completely disregarding other time-tested, proven methods… that is asinine. It also shows people you don’t understand basic physics or your not willing to acknowledge it’s utility. The single best way for an athlete to create greater force production (sprint faster, jump higher, be more agile) is by lifting weights. Lifting weights also strengthens the connective tissue making non-contact injuries much less common. I’m not saying your methods are bad. They can be leveraged with other systems for better results. Not acknowledging that or even the idea of that is confirmation bias and holy grail type marketing schilling for your system.

Pro athletes are movement geniuses often times they perform better than anyone DESPITE their flaws not because of them even the greatest of Olympic weightlifters have things they could tweak in their form
