Goata works. I did a beginner's 12 week program. Knee pain gone, got a bounce back and definitely running with less effort, more power and flow.

“Inside ankle bone high” I saw a video on Tim Lincecum’s pitching mechanics a few years ago highlighting him doing this in his back leg when he pitches. Very cool to see this pointed out in someone’s program years later.

6:57 That looks like a Wide Stance with a “knees in” landing transitioning to the outside edge of the foot. How does that relate to what you’re working on? I saw the first “bow” that lead to the stance, that is not what i’m referring to here. - My point here is that, seeing the same slo-mo video you are seeing, that’s a high intense movement where he’s 1. Wide, 2. Landing on his inside edge, then transitioning to his outside edge, and 3. Did not injure himself (most importantly). What’s going on there? - I want to see what you think before commenting further.

He landed moreso on the center point of his foot and shifted to the outside edge as he dug into the ground and his ankle climbed higher. The first contact point may have been inside edge but when he was loading force into the ground he did so through his outer edge with his inside ankle climbing. Every step a person takes won’t be exactly textbook. That’s my opinion though.
@hockeyhacks2.0
@hockeyhacks2.0 2 жыл бұрын
@@moretothegame i agree each step won’t be exactly textbook. And for that reason, I train both the inside and outside edge of my feet, and valgus and bowed leg positions. And I train at pain-free levels and regresssions.

Should you force these movements while running or work them and your body should naturally fall into the place ?
@moretothegame
@moretothegame 5 ай бұрын
From my experience you have to work then and consciously force them until they become natural. Currently still getting better. Long way to go. Years of moving one way doesn’t go away that easy

You have to create a routine and make It your way of moving to see effects. Start with stretching and then you can set up normal workouts with the GOATA exercises each day in the gym

@moretothegame

It’s been amazing for me. For the first time in a while I have turned my ankles all season. I would definitely say don’t get too high up on your ankles especially to compensate for lack of flexibility when you start

@@tupacsoulja yes to a certain degree. Deadlifitng and back squats are not GOATA movements. It would not be recommended if you are looking to get out of pain, regain your natural movement or excel at a locomotive based sport.
