I think you guys are reading too much into these “aesthetics” and need to take a step back. TikTok is not real life and sometimes people just like to dress up. Sure, embracing your weird and using “dress up” is a great way to express oneself and can help individuals discover themselves, but it is not limited to specific “cores”

I am a f*cking mix of cottagecore, goblincore, and witchtok to make something vaguely forest-spirit-y. I have no idea what to call it but I wish to vanish into the forest and have my entire soul and being overgrown by moss and pillbugs as I rest next to animal skeletons and wildflowers and hum farie tunes to no one but the wind and trees. As the mushrooms eat my flesh I will be at peace knowing I have given back what I have taken.
