On the other end of the spectrum but related to gossiping, the spirit convicted me recently. I'm starting to notice the people around me take regular digs at people. They'll say they're (others) are just being lazy, should do their work and basically assign their motivations and actions for them. It always made me feel uncomfortable, and a few times I even joined in with a less offensive take, in hopes to tone it down. But it always left me feeling, unsettled. The spirit recently convicted me to take all thoughts captive and view it as the thing God hates - gossiping. No negotiating. So I cannot be friends/associates with these people. It helps me to also see where God intends to (eventually) remove me from. I know those people won't be in my future.
