Some of the best pacing and over the top wow action ever seen in a game. The rest of the game didn't really live up to the opening but man from first movement to when you kill poseidon is sheer excellence

It's so freaking bad ass when Helios's golden chariot comes around as a silent announcement to start the fight. The Gods were fearless and had absolute confidence in the face of the titan's return.

In all the other media the return of Titans is justified with the wavering of gods. Usually some half-god has to save the Olympus. Here the gods are an absolute powerhouse and could still mop the floor with Titans but Kratos is enough of a gamechanger to take them on. But whenever we see the gods fight Titans, they absolutely destroy them.

@@yessuhyessuh2100 Well I might have not thought about my comment when i initially made it. GOW 4s beginning is very slow. When I was talking about how awesome the opening was I was more talking about the fight against Baldur and how epic a confrontation that was. Cause to me that was just as incredible as almost anything in the beginning of GOW 2 and 3.

*Laufey's son has returned! Loki would take it as personal. The Aesir heard about his mother's name, but Farbauti (= Kratos) is a name the Giants kept in secrecy and it wouldn't shake the pillars of Asgard as much as Laufey. Unless the Aesir will eventually find out about what happened to the Olympians a few centuries earlier and realize Loki will do exactly what his father did in Greece: slay a whole pantheon.

The Titans are actually powerful the problem is that they were brought to the future when the gods have gotten stronger and they have the disadvantage of climbing Mt Olympus

I would have had the Titans stay Loyal to Kratos but Had Morpheus , Nyx and Other Gods Be Reinforcements for Zeus and Additional Gods For Kratos to Fight

Why does every God keep referring to Kratos as a mere mortal, like they have forgotten that he is the son of Zeus and the God of War? Maybe if they took him a bit more seriously they would of stood a better chance against Kratos!

Jacob Bielski Falling in God of War is weird. He's been shown to survive great falls without injury before, and how the actual hell is a god killer supposed to get hurt by something as little as a fall? Yet, falls have shown to he harmful if not fatal to him numerous times. It's like Spider-Man somehow needing a parachute despite having insanely high durability. So, it's some plot BS.

I've have resently fallen in love with the God of war franchise and while I've only played the first game so far I always watch videos trying to know everything about god of war and I the next games I plan on playing are Gow 2 , chains of Olympus, and ghost of Sparta and then playing this game witch I have been wanting to play for some time.

That was a minor cutscene, this one 7:06 is a more common one, hades fights looks just as epic as baldur fights, only difference is the camera angle and one of them is more grounded the other is more dynamic.

This was a travel in time, you just realize the ubiquitous comonalities between old games once they stop using them, the most notable is the game inducing you to button mashing and the 2nd is the constant reminder that this is a game so It's not about the story or logic.
