Plot armour implies that Kratos would logically not have been capable of defeating Poseidon and only did so because the plot demanded it, but if you actually pay attention you'd realize that this version of Kratos went toe to toe with Zeus, the King of the Gods, and almost won. Zeus was only saved because Athena intervened.

Hell, God of War 2 (2007) still looks decent despite being a PS2 game. It’s biggest graphical flaw is the resolution, upscale that and nothing else in an emulator (or just play the PS3 HD version) and it’s like wiping a layer of blur off the screen that lets the artstyle shine even more.

Same. Like, I love Kratos, but he REALLY shouldn't have been able to kill gods like Poseidon or Zeus. Gaia is a primordial, not a titan, and Helios is a titan. Also, even if the gods were sometimes assholes in Greek mythology, they weren't outright evil like these ones are (I know Pandora's Box made them evil in this universe but still). Zeus occasionally had good moments (sparing the couple from the flood, Ganymede, etc). Also, Hera was depicted as not being powerful in this game. Like, bitch is the Queen of Heaven
