Raeb's Lament is hands down my favorite song of the list, The after credit scene hit me so hard. The Hurdy-gurdy is truly an amazing instrument, I will always love it's haunting sounds.

Some games are just games. They are fun to play. This game is more than a game. It makes you feel things. It makes your heart happy then in an instant rips it apart again and again. The music does so much to set the mood.

1:44:11 Ragnarok sountrack is my favourite, just finished the game and i can't forget the feeling when you enter asgard with the armies from most of the realms and this song kicks in. It's sad because Kratos didn't want any war ant didn't want to return to his former self..

I was worried they wouldnt be able to make the Ragnarok fight live up to the hype. Boy was I wrong. I had chills on my arms and tears in my eyes for like 2 hours straight. This whole scene might just be the most epic thing I've ever done in a game. I LOVED this theme from the trailer, and as soon as I heard it when we came into Asgard, I knew I was in for an unforgettable battle.

Odin would've won if it wasn't for Brok. When he said he was gonna "gather my things" he was actually going to teleport back to Asgard with the mask, and Brok smacking it away from him meant he was never getting it back without revealing himself. That was the final nail in Odin's coffin, Ragnarök was just lowering him into the grave.

Pull of the light... I used to play GOW 2018, and my dad who was bedridden used to watch me play. He passed away shortly after i finished the game, and for a year after that, ever since i ever heard the soundtrack "Ashes", i would just burst into tears. It helped me through a tough time, this game.

My hands were so sweaty and my heart was pounding so hard during the last battle.after the story that kratos started in the tent and didn’t finish I thought he’s gonna die during the battle and the prophecy was gonna come true. No video game has told such a compelling story with this level of intensity. I was wrong Son.open your heart to them😢😢😢

This soundtrack is absolutely phenomenal. Even having played the game, i can feel again every step Kratos and Atreus took on their journey just listening to the music. I never thought "The Ghost Of Sparta" could find peace after losing everything, carrying the guilt of what he did to his family. For me, "Letting Go", not only represents Atreus leaving to follow his own path, it's also Kratos moving on to a new life that, no one, not even himself, thought to be possible.

@@karankenZ He lost so many, his soul, his family, his people, his friends. he couldn't trust anyone. everyone called him ghost of sparta reminding his what he did. calling him monster, destroyer. but his 2nd late wife made sure that kratos and atreus will get the happy ending they deserve. And he did.

I love how in "Huldra Brothers" we have a high pitched instrument representing Sindri, and a low pitched instrument representing Brok. And in Raeb's Lament, only the high pitched instrument remains....

Truly an incredible game and an incredible soundtrack if merely playing the OST back invokes memories. Reminds me of the first time I played Ori and the Will of the Wisps. All I had to do was listen to the OST and it was like I was playing it all over again.

I grew up playing the original games. I have followed his story every step. But this redemption arc of his truly excites me. The new theme music for Kratos, introduced in 2018, was dark and foreboding, mirroring his past. The theme for this game is augmented to sound heroic, mirroring his present. The pieces "The All Father" and "Letting Go" take Kratos' theme and make it what I can only describe as angelic and/or divine. I strongly hope we get to see him finally reap the reward that was foretold him, and that he so desperately deserves.

Bear McCreary is probably one of the best musicians of our time. He has his own groove, some may say, and they'd be right. But every time he's given a task, the man just... it's like he's Midas, but in a good sense. I've never heard something he has created that's not good. In fact, far from it, everything he's done is above good. And he kicks it out of the park every time he has large projects like this, like BattleStar Galactica and others.

Let me explain the story-telling of these wonderful OST (will be continued throughout my current gameplay), please sub me for GoW Ragnarok piano covers 😆: 07. Svartalfheim - at 39:35 there’s Haudra Brother Theme because Brok&Sindri are from Svartalfheim! 09. Alfheim - at 49:06 there’s Faye Theme because she’s in the Light! 10. Jotunheim - at the beginning there’s Angrboda theme and at the ending (53:25) there’s Atreus Theme because they originated in Jotunheim! Both are symmetrically placed at both end of the Realm’s Theme. 11.Gryla - at 58:04 there’s Angrboda’s Theme because she’s Gryla’s granddaughter. 12. The Hidden Beast - at 1:12:29 there’s Freya’s and Kratos’ Themes playing simultaneously because they’re joining force to kill the Beast. 15. To Forgive or To Kill - There’s Odin Theme at the end because this Theme plays when Freya breaks Odin’s Curse. Odin related. (To be continued)

It's almost as if this is a movie-game and these songs play during the scenes where those characters are present. Reappearing motifs are exceptionally common in these things.

I fucking love how eery ‘Ragnarök’ is. I’m sure we were all terrified of the fact this could be the end of Kratos’ story. Replaying it, the scene in the tent where he tells Atreus a story was heartbreaking. He followed the prophecy all the way to this point. I don’t think we ever see Kratos cry until that point and it’s probably my favourite part of the game maybe even franchise. This game is fucking beautiful.

Absolutely phenomenal story. And it follows Norse lore very accurately. I was so scared for Kratos and the crew towards that end. Absolutely compelling and immersive music. That Fight with Thor and Odin really did feel like Fighting some ego driven, mad, power hungry Gods. This is game soooo intense. I had to take a break from it for a second though to play something I can actually breeze through. It's some of these challenges are a bit TOO hard. You'll rage after dying like 25 times from like 3 mini bosses just jumping your ass. This isn't even my kind of game but I'm so glad I've played it. Absolutely epic depth, raw emotion, and storytelling.

dint know the dude that gets eaten by dinosaurs in the car in jurassic park 2 will be someone id hate for killing brok...but here we are as much as i absolutely LOVED GOW 4 and ragnarok i dont think i can play them again because of all the emotional gut punches... sindriiii and well the obvious father son dynamic☹️.. just an all around amazing franchise ..GOTY for sure

What can I say... Main theme, bloody awesome, Atreus's Theme is so good I hum it anywhere and everywhere. Asgard/Thor theme is hella good. The final battle , as soon as Kratos gives his orders and he and Freya drop into the battle zone it kicks in and wether you're ready or not, emotions kick in a battle for the ages is about to start... goddammit Bear you are one he'll of a composer. What can I say about the Huldra brothers theme ( and the murder of Brok) and how it really melts me on the inside. I cry for Brok like a baby. He was the first friendly Npc you met in 2018. Cory Barlog you knew this would register on an emotional level throughout the player base. And knowing we couldn't go to the lake of souls to get him back just made the feeling worse.

Epic! I'm not sure if it's as good as its predecessor or almost. Anyway, I have goosebumps and bear mcreary has managed to deliver excellent work again. love it!!! Edit: after 110 Hours and the platin trophy, boy this was an adventure. I cried, was shocked and had goosebumps thousands of times. GOW R: is an incredible experience that every fan & gamer should play Masterpiece. My fav tracks. Ragnarök, With eivor, Hammer of athor, A Sons path, Ragnarök beginning, Faye track... Ah common everything 😂
