After escaping a hostile Freya, Kratos and Atreus return back home to check on Fenrir. Unfortunately, his conditions are severe and Atreus puts him to rest. Kratos falls asleep and wakes up to Atreus not being home. He grabs Mimir and they start searching for him. They follow tracks to discover Atreus had left to bury Fenrir. When Kratos and Mimir arrive to the end of the tracks, they stumble across a massive bear that attacks them from behind. Upon battling and nearly killing the bear, it shape shifts back into Atreus.
