No it's more plausible, op is correct. Think about it this way. We have organs that hold no purpose. Why would a perfect god have organs that serve no purpose aside from to cause you harm? That isn't perfect, but it WOULD be useful if oh I don't know, prior to us evolving we needed them to eat and do other things.

It's just a shame we created god in the dark ages before we knew we would have medical technology to see these organs which would make these old books contradictory.

Think of it as a video game. You are the game developer, and you made sentient, digital life. You would probably make them in your image, but would need it to make sense for the code. So like we need organs to survive, the digital life would need to be programmed to not fail as soon as it spawned. So as far as we know, God could exist in a plane of reality beyond our knowing.

Totally agree. Makes you think, huh? As an atheist agnostic, I honestly don't believe in the Christian God or any other Gods, but this theory is quite fascinating (and just because I'm atheist, doesn't mean I hate on people who do follow any certain religion)!

It reminds me of a story I was told as a child: There once was a miner who was working hard in a mine under slave like conditions. He was allowed to make a wish, he wished to be a senior worker who looked over the others cause then he could have power over the other workers. When he became that, the king visited him and he wished to be the king cause he had power over him. Then he was the king, but it was a day when heavy rains fell and he was angry he didn't have power over the clouds, so he wished to be the clouds. Then he became the cloud, and thought he was almighty, but he couldn't destroy rocks. He wished to be a rock, and when he became a rock he had no power over the miners. Then it became full circle and he became a miner again.

I’m an atheist, but this is one of the arguments that bothers me. This statement is a contradiction. Omnipotence is defined as being able to do “any thing” and that is not a “thing”
