I saw "Noah" in theaters and thought it was incredible. Love the movie. Only now, like 10 years later do I cry when the first Watcher dies and returns back to heaven and the others realize that they have redeemed themselves to God. That scene absolutely destroys me now. Probably because I have become more religious after 10 years.

Yes, it is. Though I can still enjoy it (at least parts of it) despite that. Plus it actually has one of the most Scripture-accurate depictions I've seen of the Flood starting, as it wasn't just rain, but all of the waters locked within the Earth bursting out as well.

@techtonic9100
@techtonic9100 3 ай бұрын
Why? Because it takes creative liberties? It’s actually not that in-accurate. Much of the story material is taken from the book of Enoch. A once accepted piece of scripture thousands of years ago. Much of the scripture was deemed non-canon by the Catholic Church due to stories presented in the text supporting personal freedom, a concept that was not admired at the time. Yes some things are changed, namely the behavior and nature of the Watchers. But overall, it’s a very good film and a very good piece of religious media.
@jindrichsander7271
@jindrichsander7271 3 ай бұрын
@@techtonic9100personal freedom? That sounds funny. Watchers are literally demons! Not that they didn't just capture their essence , they misread it completely. Personal freedom my ass, you know technically speaking god himself isn't a fan of personal freedom. He used slaves to build churches and temples for him in the bible. Its not the catholic church, they just follow whats in the bible. "but there are many scriptures, some of them didn't make it into the bible, its a control of media" yeah, they literally contradicted the rest of the bible, thats why they thought it shouldn't make the list. There are many contradictions in the bible as it is. Most of them being misunderstandings of the word by common folk but it does happen the other way around too.

Try searching the Bible for the word Behemoth or the Giant sequoias. Prior to the flood. It did not rain on the Earth. The Earth's atmosphere had a firmament, protective arc. The atmosphere was completely different back then compared to the air we breathe today. The Earth's atmosphere was so nutritious. Plant's and animals were allowed to supersize. Imagine a tree with the lower branches as long as the Empire state building is high. When one of these giants would fall? The whole valley would shake. The biggest flying dinosaur in the US was as tall as a Giraffe and weighed 250 Kg. They needed to roost somewhere. If you tried to bring back the Dinosaur, like in the movie Jurassic Park. These types of animals would not be able breathe our air, let alone get the nourishment required to sustain their immense size. Same thing happened for our life span. If you died at the age of 100 before the flood? You would have been considered to have died young.
@lovemoviesful2
@lovemoviesful2 3 ай бұрын
@user-zu3dh7lu9r LMAO and those "Behemoth" or "Giants" does not even remotely referring to or anything related to dinosaurs. The only thing that is true is crazy people adding sh*t to their imaginary book as they go. The Bible has been modified, re-written, and re-translated many times over. It's written from people's egos to control and make themselves feel better. Nothing more.

The whole point is that they put trust in him and he will provide a way to overcome anything. Like for example there are some countries that make so much food that they have to throw it away so it won't go bad and yet we still have people who don't have anything to eat. For example Japan has so many vending machines and some of the food in them is removed from them within a couple of hours because they didn't get sold. There's this man that went around collecting the numbers of what was being thrown away he estimated that there's enough to feed more than 400 families for three days. Just think they throw away that much food every day. Building the ark shows God that Noah trusted him and was still willing to head his commands despite the world mocking him.

"There wasnt any rock creatures helping him build. Just a Hollywood story." Unlike the Bible, Torah and Korea.. which are definitely not fiction. 100 percent true stories. Noah's global flood is clearly supported by the geological record. Just like the story of Adam and Eve is supported by modern evolutionary theory.

I thought of it more as something similar to, ‘God shows his power as an artist’, or ‘God shows his love as a parent’. It’s not so much diminishing God in that way, instead, likening it to our human creations and us as ‘creators’ of things, and showing how far above God is.

it's not about save everyone in a flash, its about make people save themself. the monotheist religions view Gos as a father, and a father dont make everything for you, he make you learn how to do things. if God erase all problem, all notion of bad, of work, of choice then he remove the free will of anyone.

First of All, Golem is a mythical creature from Yerusalem. And when Noah Lives, Yerusalem doesn't exist yet. Yerusalem was built in Abraham era. So it will be ridiculous if Golems who helped Noah. In Holy Qur’an, Noah was helped by his loyal followers.

I watched this movie before. No where in the Book of Genesis does it mention rock golems helping Noah build the Ark. We don't even know if he built it by himself or if he had help from his sons. This movie is very inaccurate. If any of y'all wonder what version of the Bible I read, its the King James Version.

In the Bible it would have been his sons (and possibly their wives). It’s a small crew but then again it took a very long time to build. Most recent estimate I saw was anywhere from 50 - 75 years.
