Mathew 7:5 first remove the beam out of your own eye then you can see clearly to take the speck out of your brothers eye. I have posted this just to let you know when I first believed I spent so much time worrying about loved ones around me I was distraught . Then on a walk I heard Mathew 7:5 "look it up" I did and stopped worrying and concentrated on my own sins and forgiveness. Just being gay, shouldn’t be an issue. It is how she is expressing this, that is the issue. If she is a liberal, social Justice warrior, shoving it down everyone’s throat, this is a problem. It sounds like she is forcing you to use stupid pronouns (?) ( you typed “they”), which is 100% out of line, in my opinion, because being gay has nothing whatsoever to do with being transgender. They two are completely unrelated, issues. I believe democrats and the mainstream media, lump them together as a means of piggybacking off gay activist movements, and the power they must have. Look, I am a woman, feminine, and I also happen to be gay, but I despise activist groups, have no desire to be a boy, nor have I ever, I find the “idea” of some “gay lifestyle” to be the actual problem, because this isn’t a “thing”. I have never set foot in a “gay” bar, or marched in some dumb parade, or put rainbows all over my car, house, and self. I think it is all so stupid. It is such theater. These are needy people who want attention. People think this is how all people who happen to be gay, must be, because the only image of “gay” the media has perpetuated for decades is this insane, weird, and perverted image, that I find preposterous. This image is more dangerous with regard to suicide, than any form of “gay bashing”. It is a terrible barrier for me, personally, because I hate the implications people make about me and my life, if they happen to find out that I happen to be gay. I don’t blame them, frankly, and this is part of the reason these activist groups infuriate me. They do far more harm than good. I don’t need my rights protected, as they are already protected by the constitution. I don’t need to have the institution of marriage adopted for gay people as a federal law or any law. This is why I didn’t want to face this truth, about myself, because of the image I saw, that I didn’t feel any connection with. And to be honest, was somewhat repelled by. I am a Republican, from Seattle, I was a professor of fine arts at George Washington University in DC, until I recently quit in protest, of woke policies. I was the highest evaluated faculty in my department at GWU, and at every other school where I have taught. As an artist, and an academic, you can only imagine the degree of woke b.s. I’ve been surrounded by. Alot. But, I see the human, not the ideology. I should say, I “did”, see the human, until the ideology became so obtrusive, it threatened every principle I believe in. I believe the people who align with the activists groups, are experiencing something other, than the rare genetic anomaly of being “gay”, and are dealing with untreated mental illness, possibly some form of autism, or have experienced childhood sexual abuse and haven’t had any help, (but the help, itself can sometimes create more harm, I recommend a military psychologist or psychiatrist as they are more pragmatic) and are all projecting real issues, into a concocted movement of social misfits, that likely wouldn’t exist otherwise, in most cases. I can honestly say, I never once, quite organically, had any reason to announce to any of my classes, that I happen to be “gay”. That wasn’t my job. It would have been absurd, and totally narcissistic of me. My job as a professor, was always, to cultivate critical thought, not to discuss my personal life. No one even knew I was gay, because it just never came up. If my partner came to pick me up, I introduced her quite honestly, as my friend. Because we also, happen to be “best friends”. She is also feminine. We aren’t all kissy, and huggy, in public, because I wouldn’t be that way anyway. And also, I am sensitive to other people’s beliefs, and very protective of my relationship with this person, and treasure it. Most of my friends are not gay. I can tell you, that there are many more like me, who you will never know, are gay, unless you ask. We won’t dress a certain way, we won’t be women who act like men, or men who act like women, typically. We simply have far more in common with normal people, than we do with weirdos in activist groups. It isn’t like that, for most. I don’t “identify” as some random genetic anomaly. I hope that my character, and deeply held principles, and my words aligning with these principles, over time, will define who I was and what mark I have left on the people I have known, met, or crossed paths with. I hope to have left something good, that touches their heart, or makes them laugh, or feel special. Or, in the case of social justice warriors, be the wall they need to run up against to learn humility, and boundaries. There are many more gay republicans, than people, even I, realize. If your sister is insisting you use pronouns, because she is gay, she sounds like she’s lost her marbles. She sounds confused, because being gay has nothing to do with a person’s biological sex. I think that if you comply with her wishes, above and beyond anything that she is willing to do, for you, you are betraying your own beliefs, don’t you? She is a “she”. And “she” is being unreasonable. Tell her she got it wrong, and that you and I are pretty sure the pronouns are supposed to be for the trans people. I honestly try not to keep up with their list of “demands” as I don’t plan on bending the knee, or bowing to any mob, and neither should you. Don’t compromise who you are. Of what is true, is actually true for your sister, she wouldn’t need for you or anyone else to do anything differently to appease her. That demonstrates insecurity, not confidence. You are not responsible for her state of mind, or how she feels about herself, and no amount of changing, to appease her, will ever achieve this. I also had transgender students, who never asked me to address them differently, with regard to pronouns. They were lovely people, as were all of my students (safe for a couple of twats’. I didn’t treat them any differently, because they didn’t act any differently. I realize now, that these young women, might have been in real trouble, and I wonder how they are now. As college students, they were all legal adults, and I didn’t get involved with these issues. I don’t see anyone else’s choices, with regard to religion, politics, to be an imposition on my own, why should I be an imposition on theirs? Until, that is, this new leftist wokism. This is a threat to all of us, and to children. I don’t believe any sex education should be taught in schools. I’m fine with human biology, and the reproductive system, from a scientific perspective, but not sex Ed. These public school teachers are cuckoo. I am 100% pro heterosexuality, as it is the standard, normal orientation, and am a big fan of people having families, with a father and a mother. Plus, the species won’t exist otherwise. You get it, I think. But I don’t mind leaving an essay, because I think you deserve to hear from a sane person, who happens to be gay. To dispel anything you may have heard from an insane person on tv, in an activist group, or simply from the mainstream media. They do not represent the people, in the real world.

Not just for Troy, but for anyone who feels called to obey God even when they know they will be rejected at first and maybe for years and years. Honestly, this comment was an encouragement to me. But I fully see why you might have felt it was rude to say, I think the point is God is unifying the body of Christ and people can admit they had to grow to hear what God had to say through who God chosen even if it's not who we might choose or typically give an ear to. Many are rejected due to their unique diversity as a part of the body, others are rejected as if they are meant to be the whole body and we see them as falling short of that. No one is meant to be the whole body and everyone can't be the same part of the body. God is bring the whole diverse body to work together in unity as moved by Christ and people are truly uniting to Christ by putting their own ideas and understanding aside and truly accepting what scripture says about the body of Christ and it's needed differences.
