In this Godot tutorial we will create a simple but nice hit/impact effect using the Godot VFX particles system, also
we will see how to use Decals, so we can leave marks on the surface. Lets get started..

Thank you so much for this! I was having trouble with triggering my explosions in code and hadn't thought of using the animation player as part of the scene. Thanks so much 👍

Thank you so much for this amazing tutorial on adding VFX in Godot! Your explanations were clear and easy to follow, and I really appreciate the effort you put into making this video. I was wondering if you could consider making a tutorial on adding VFX to weapons, like creating a trail effect for swords. I think it would help many of us to take our game development skills to the next level. Looking forward to more great content from you!

Great tutos, learning a lot. Do you use similar to make the effects with skull and leaves in the intro (0:11 and 0:12)? Or maybe more like your Aura tuto?
@Le_x_Lu
@Le_x_Lu 2 ай бұрын
thanks mate.. Yep, the leaves effect is the same, i just used leaves textures in the particles..But, the poison skull effect is different.. i used an animated texture for the bubbles, and a sphere growing with a skull texture...

Thanks. How did you learn all this? Just by playing with all various config? Feel like Godot is merely the mean but VFX knowledge must come from elsewhere

@@romualdcarre8445 correct, I have experience in VFX in Unreal Engine and Unity.. so, now i'm adapting all my knowledge, and experience over the years making VFXs into Godot Engine.
