Good review BUT.....when you're showing the various controls and setting etc use that thing on your video camera called a ZOOM! AND ... think about what you're showing...at one stage your reviewer is talking about how the dial changes settings while their hand covers the screen! C'mon guys....we expect better from Hypop!

Would two of them be enough for a group of 8 people photoshoot indoors , i usually use two 400w flashes set at 3.5 power

With a nice large softbox, 2x 300W flashes should be sufficient for a group of people

Thank you! It would work in a small home portrait studio but we would recommend the MS300-V for half body up shots. You might be able to get away with 1 light and a bounce board but a 2 light M300-V setup for 1 key and 1 fill would work really well. If you were looking at doing full body shots we'd lean towards a more powerful light such as the DP400IIIV or DP600IIIV.

Hi there, Yes the MS300-V has been popular for photobooth setups due to it's compact size and will easily run for 2-3 hour events. The SK400II-V is no different and just as reliable.

What's the red ring light in your short video?; "Here's how to fix it" It's got the palm trees in the backdrop, and she's using a hand held red/pink light that has a strong halo effect. I have to know, what is this light? I'm going to keep pestering you till I get an answer! 😅😁

No, the MS300-V doesn't support HSS. The only strobes from Godox that support HSS are the Witstro range such as the Godox AD100Pro, AD200Pro, AD300Pro etc..

Octagon softbox works well with the MS300-V and Canon R50 or really any camera with a metal hot shoe for that matter works.

Unfortunately the majority of LED modelling lamps in the newer Godox flashes aren't that strong. They range from 10-18W and are only really intended to substitute the older style E27 bulb modelling lamps. This includes the MS300-V, DP400III-V, QT400IIIM.

Hello, I am considering buying the MS300v kit found in B&H, that comes with 3 lights, their respective light stands,2 softboxes, an umbrella a standard p70 reflector and a carrying case, which makes it a great deal honestly, as I am looking to begin in product photography, However i am wondering if this same kit but for the 200 version would be powerful enough for me to get, taking into consideration that I have a small working space with white walls... so if the 200 version is plenty I would prefer to go for that and leave me with some budget for potentially an ad200 or ad300 that I can use outdoors and also complement this kit if I ever need... Thanks in advance, hope you can answer my comment.

Yes, depending on the size of your space you might be able to get away with a 200W flash. As a rule of thumb we'd like to say 2x 300W flashes cover a 3x3m or 10ft x 10ft space, so if your space is smaller than that 2x 200W should cover it.

Can the modeling LED be used as a continuous light for video?

Hey there, if you watch from 13:14 onwards we conduct tests on the modelling LED. Nothing really stops you from using it as a continuous light for video apart from its lower power. For reference it's only 10 watts so in most cases it might not be strong enough, a recommendation for a continuous light for video would start from something like the 60w Godox SL60IID or if you really need to have both flash and continuous then the Godox FV150/FV200 might be a suitable option.

Hey Carlos, it only works with plug in wall plug power. If you need a strobe that can work on battery power you would look at the Godox ADPRO models.

You could but it would be bulky and not very practical. With the cost of an MS300-V + a portable power station, you might as well just purchase an AD300 Pro at that price point.

Please keep your fingers off the lamp surfaces. Residues will cook, stain and shatter.
