Godsmack frontman Sully Erna and Lady Gaga were a couple briefly, the band's drummer revealed during a recent podcast. Previously, the Godsmack singer revealed he wrote the band's ballad 'Under Your Scars' after being inspired by the musician.

I attended a record release party in 1996 in Boston. One of my songs was selected for a New England based compilation sponsored by Daddys Music. it was a fun night and at it's climax the headline band took the stage and from the first note to the last left me in awe. You could tell they were going places. It was Godsmack... A few months later they were opening for Ozzy...

Larkin is such an underrated drummer. The drums he did he did on GlassJaw's Worship and Tribute is one of my all time favorite albums! His attention to detail, groove, and overall power behind the kit between the dudes from GJ him and Ross Robinson made an iconic album! And he's a super chill dude! I have a copy of the drum and bass version from Ross's sessions and it sounds so damn good!

Sully wrote the first 3 Godsmack albums. He played drums on the first Godsmack record and on Dropbox's album.

@@bw6138 Not a big Godsmack fan. I have the first album that's about it. He's a decent drummer, better drummer than a singer imo. I'm more of. Technical Progressive Death Metal guy but I do enjoy a lot of metal subgenres just can't get down with GS for some reason. Just like I hate Lars drumming but love Metallicas earlier album In justice being my favorite. Just can't get behind Lars drumming it's so bland for the riffs they play. I've heard covers with phenomenal drummers doing there own style behind the kit and sounds way more aggressive than the old thrash beats and same damn boring tom fills, he can't even hold his sticks anymore lol

@@shadowwylde not really, a rockstar is made by spirit and a specific attitude, sensibility and perspective that translates to the music, so many rock bands are sell outs trying to pretend they are still alternative and project an image but make the same shit everyone else is doing, making rock music doesn't grant anything nowdays.

Years ago Sully and the boys came to Wichita and my bf at the time worked at the Harley shop. They all came in and after the show went riding WITH my bf and he had a great time, a great story and I was very jealous but they are really all just regular guys that rock. I'm not surprised they dated and that he didn't flaunt it. Both artists are amazing. I dug this story and no he's not Tommy Lee haha I mean that in the best way possible 💖✌️🎵🤘

Gaga already dated a dude called Lüc Carl, a metalhead and he was her bf for a long time. She also wrote a song about him "Heavy Metal Lover" which is about the relationship with a metalhead nightclub manager and her, a superstar. Gaga started her career as an underground artist and wanted first being a rockstar so she doesn't just like pop music. During her 'Joanne' era she abandoned her popstar image to perform in the streets or on underground scenes it was pretty cool. Sully and Gaga probably dated around the early 2010s or in 2015/2016.
