Part 3: The crew of the Calico are captured by an evil scientist who intends to clone them! Without any way to contact Godzilla for help, the crew (along with Godzooky) must find a way to outwit not only their captor, but his team of clones as well. Plus, don't forget about the mad scientist's giant squid that's waiting for them as well!

I once saw the start of this as a kid, and now I've finally seen the end. Very fun and whimsical.

Definitely one of the more unique episodes of the series. The show had a lot of crazy shit, ancient guardians, a variety of aliens, mysterious fogs that could change an animal's size, magic sunbeams that could enlarge bugs, energy beasts, creatures straight out of mythology, and now a mad scientist who perfected cloning. Godzilla coming out of the water and engaging the squid whilst breathing fire is a standout visual for me this episode. Curious why the ending theme was changed though. It's basically the opening theme but an instrumental version. The original ending theme was great so in the far off future of 20XX I hope the Nano Blu Ray version of this series has that old ending theme included.

I'm no more sure than you are about the change in the end theme. All I know is that it was like that well before the show found its way to KZfaq.

My 4-year-old son loves my season 1 DVDs. He calls it "Godzilla Up From the Depths" We are enjoying watching these season 2 episodes together for the first time! Thank you!

Just wait for the second-to-last episode of the series. That one set up a possible crossover four years before the G.I. Joe cartoon even existed!
