Gigantis the Fire Monster. Yeah I bought this movie out of one of those $1 bargain bins which are full of these types of movies

When I saw the original Japanese version, I was actually surprised how brutal the monster combat is in this film, compared to the later G-movies, excepting the first Mechagodzilla one. It's too bad the faster film speed ended up so clunky.

There are many excellent movies reviewers on youtube. Some play it safe. Others go with fun gimmicks. You have a unique style that comes off as *almost* straight with a twist of off kilter. It's great! You are my favorite by a mile. Thanks for sharing your wit and talent!

I wonder if we'll ever get a review of the Hanna/Barbara Godzilla cartoon series. Anyone remember that?

This definitly felt more like Godzilla the stock footage edition. But i do agree Snob the effects are impressive considering when it was made.

A very appropriate time for a "Godzilla" review, seeing that "Kong vs. Godzilla" is due out this month. I actually saw this movie on "Svengoolie" when he did a month of "Godzilla" movies, which sadly ended with "Godzilla's Revenge". Sadly I wound up watching the American version, only minus the "Gigantis:The Fire Monster" title. I have to say, if I ever come across this movie on DVD, I'll probably watch the Japanese version, since I'm sure that Godzilla's roars is right on that version.

I've never felt the need to seek out and watch an episode of 911 Lone Star until now.

One thing I enjoy is watching these movies in Japanese with subtitles, because it's almost always a very different movie. This is available on HBO right now in subbed and Kobayashi is not a buffoon in it.

Godzilla Raids Again is alright as Godzilla movies go, it's clear it was rushed into production with some plot points taken straight from the first. They didn't make for seven years. That said Teenagers from outer space was on mystery science theater.
