Where have you been my whole life. Been bing watching Godzilla movies on KZfaq. Just watched Godzilla vs Hedorah last night.

I had a childhood fear of the "heffalumps and woozles" part in the many adventures of Winnie the Pooh. Growing up, I didn't see the movie again for so long that I was basically convinced it was just some trippy nightmare I had that involved Pooh for some reason. Many years later, I'm a huge horror fan, I'm a parent and one day my son gets a certain Winnie the Pooh movie as a gift....I wasnt frightened by it as an adult, but there was a surreal moment of "wait...that was REAL??"

Man, I remember seeing the morning news report on Godzilla death. It was like the Death of Superman all over again. That was wild!

I have always loved Godzilla and as a child, watched his movies every year during the marathons on Channel 9 in New York. I always knew he was not real but the idea of him terrified me as a child. Even now on some quiet nights when I look out my window towards the New York Bay, I can feel that childhood terror that none only is he out there, but he will see me, and come towards me.

Y’know, this story is just further proof of how Godzilla can save us all. But really, it’s good that you were able to find a way to more fully enjoy the things you love.

When I was in grade school, I watched Godzilla 1985 a lot (we had recorded it off of TV). I usually watched it at night, and afterwards I would be terrified to look out any of the windows because I was certain that I would see Godzilla's eyes looking back at me. It was completely nonsensical, since we lived in a single story ranch style house, but I couldn't help it. As an adult, I sometimes have nightmares where I am running from that version of Godzilla. Something about that particular suit's/cybot's eyes just really gets to me.

We didn't just see Godzilla die, we saw him MELT to DEATH!

When I was a kid I would go to the library maybe when I was 5 to 8 all the time. One of my favorite movies to look for were the godillza movies, but I would always avoid the scary looking movies like with gidorah, so because of that I would only watch the more friendly ones from the showa era. becuase I avoided most of the films I still have to watch them but because of those godzilla kid movies hes one of my favorite movie characters ever.

After just watching to minutes of this. You don't understand what Godzilla actually represents. The very first film that introduced Big G was about a creature awaken by nuclear testing and begin its relentless destruction of Tokyo and was killed by the Oxygen Destroyer. In the 1984 version. Raymond Burr (AKA Steve Martin). Said that was much like a hurricane. He is looking for something. We must study him, reason with him or somehow find a way to communicate with him. Before it was too late. Years later when a descendant of one of the Islander came to live with Dr. Yamane said this. Only man is the real monster. 3 different movies with a theme that man created Godzilla. Seeing the ending of Godzilla in the last movie was very sad but his spirit or his son carries on. Sorry to hear you have to think that therapy would help you deal with it. But please understand that what I have said was not to hurt. You have to see that humans do stupid things and creating nuclear weapons is probably the most stupid thing we did.
