I had personally listen to many talks or speeches made by Tharman and Heng Swee Kiat. Anyone would agree that there is much difference in terms of intelligence and depth of thinking between both. Tharman, in my opinion appear to be the better of the two. In fact, much better. Unfortunately, for whatever reason, Tharman was not even considered for the PM job. Such a waste for Singapore.

Tharman does not belong to their inner circle, thus will not be PM, nor will he want to be PM.

A good party must have the love of the country before self interest, whether in group or individual.... Being Knowing of Singapore short comings,,, May I suggestion to insert to country constitution 1. PM can hold office, two terms max. 2. To prevent conflict of interest no government's family members or personal friends to be involved in government or top post of government related business whatsoever... 3. Form a house, elected by public vote, representatives not related to any parties, (like America) to check on Ministers in office discipline, misuse of power, competency, to scrutinized is government's policy set up, ( As you know like election, goal post can change any how to upset opposition) for own political gains (that is using law to self gain or political gains. Corrupt by law), whether it's for public interest or not before employed or implementing policy.. Not any how a government set policy or employed family member which will conflict of interest. The question is whether party really have the true love for Singapore n selfless interest... It just check n balance,, where currently Singapore don't have at government level.. If the governing party really love the country n selfless interest, Singapore first attitude. This insertion has no effects at all to the current good governing party, but to prevent n a sure the future governing party whoever which party comes to power have proper check n balance. {Current governing party, please don't ever think that you will govern the country indefinite time. There are signs that votes is going to other direction. Having said this, I feel you better put in placed some form of check n balance on the governing party in the constitution before you lost your vote to other party. } I don't want to see Singapore go to waste by other governing party. My thought, above all, is that it is important with the above to be in placed, so as it will not b easy for governing party to manipulate and will not have conflict of interest... Failing which you say whatever you want is all talk with no action...

To be fair, Tharman is a better leader compare to some fourth generation ministers, he is even better than Mr Lee and Mr Goh, whom i consider are mediocre leaders. But unfortunately, Singapore isn't ready for an Indian PM, other than a Chinese candidate, as we all know what is happening around the world right now..... Nevertheless, there might be a chance that Singapore will have a PM of other races other than Chinese candidates as globalisation continue. Who knows, maybe in future, India will have a Chinese PM, China will have a Caucasian president, and Russia or the U.S will have an Indian president lol......But currently, we can only "dream", haha.
