I looked up the pride troopers on TV tropes, and it said that apart from Top and Jiren, every member relies on a gimmick to fight, and it is easy enough to defeat them once you know what the gimmick is. That said, you actually have to be able to overcome that gimmick. With Dyspo’s being super speed, being able to manipulate time is very beneficial, and it seems the only other way to stop him is to keep him confined to a small area. So it does seem like the only way someone would be able to eliminate him would be through a sacrificial takedown.

It’s actually the other way around gohan is just as skilled as vegeta and goku it’s just gohan lacks the determination and the drive to wanna be like goku and vegeta and get stronger and be a warrior Gohan as a teen was on par with goku and stronger than vegeta during the cells game so if he would’ve just kept on training instead of becoming a scholar he would’ve been devious that’s why I wish future gohan never died and trunks would’ve brought future gohan back to talk to our current gohan and tell him everything he’s been thru in his timeline and that would make our gohan not want that to happen to our timeline and that would kick that mindset in that he has to become a warrior

Future Gohan didn’t wanted to be a fighter but he’s the by product of all the destruction the androids caused… he had no choice but to fight and now our Gohan is the by product of the peace they gained without the destruction of the androids… that’s why I cry when Trunks cried saying goodbye to our Gohan bc he knows that he may not been able to save his Gohan in his timeline but is happy that there’s a version of Gohan that achieved his dream of being a scholar and he knows he didn’t fail him bc he went back in time to give everyone along with his master a fighting chance. Future Trunks is easily one of my top 3 favorite Dbz characters… he’s been through hell and back

@@jayybiggaveli6632 oh man when I saw Gohan power up with all those holes in him… swear I thought he was going to other world but I just know when super comes back Gohan going to be a straight savage.. super hero movie proved it and it’s all thanks to Pan… oh and I love Future Trunks, he always cuts right to the chance with no bullshit… he learned those mistakes from Vegeta against Semi-Cell and Gohan vs Perfect Cell and Goku vs Goku Black, to always go all out no matter what I’d go Vegeta, Gohan, Future Trunks, Goku, Piccolo and Android 17… man I love everything about DragonBall… detailed arcs (come get you some), character development (sauce), intense battles (got you on your toes), story tragedies (all around sadness) and last but not least the intensity to protect your friends and family can cause…FURY!!!

More quick, unexpected fights like this make the show much better. Gohan and Frieza acting swiftly and efficently was very enjoyable. Adult Gohan especially was mostly less talk, less ki blaser...more of a physical fighter type - I always appreciated that

Frieza (more than once) Then came of age Vs cell. We won't speak of buu saga because that ruined his character and his build up of ultimate just for Goku to take centre stage. But point is he's done it time and time again, it would have been cool for him to do something Vs jiren whether that's wound jiren a little or take a blast to save one of his friends from being blasted out. His elimination was still ok I guess

I think they knew Gohan was too strong and clever to be knocked out by other means, so had to knock him out like this were it was his own decision. He was on a similar level to Goku vegeta and frieza. Both Goku and vegeta was doing well Vs jiren before they got split up and vegeta had to take on toppo. Gohan, Goku, vegeta and frieza too not even mentioning 17. Jiren would have had a hard time at the least. So to make it more even was probably the best thing story wise.

I liked that this was kind of a throwback to Dragon Ball Z. You know that moment where Goku holds onto Raditz to make sure he can't escape Piccolo's attack. The roles are even the same. Gohan and Frieza are enemies, but working together to take out a stronger enemy. The good guy holds the common enemy in place, while the bad guy does the move that defeats the common enemy.

Dyspo's only true ability was raw speed, otherwise his power, while incredibly high, is absolutely no match for the real lifters of U7 (All the Saiyans, Piccolo, and Frieza). In fact Golden Frieza alone was able to match him in speed, and he had to pull all the stops out just to gain the advantage in agility again. In essence the Kai is correct in that assessment, when one can catch up to Dyspo, such as with Super Saiyan Blue and above, he's completely screwed in terms of actually fighting back

No they aren’t. Dypso is from a bunny like alien race while beerus and his brother champa are from a cat like race. Though the two races are similar, they are not the same.

I don't know why people don't like this elimination??? Gohan is the team leader... At the moment it was 3 vs 5... Jiren Toppo and Dyspo vs Gohan Freiza Goku Vegeta and 17... Dyspo's speed is a problem which needed to be dealt with! As soon as the barrier came down, Gohan asked frieza to eliminate him and Dyspo as a self sacrifice making sure Universe 7 could maintain their numbers advantage of 2 vs 4 and entrusting everything he knows to 3 of the strongest warriors in the universe (Goku Vegeta and Freiza) and Android 17! When Gohan screamed Freiza... He placed his trust in his dad and his Uncle Vegeta to secure universe 7 with the win!

Annoyed Gohan didnt have a big moment like transform to a new level in this thing. Like maybe SSJ3. Goku got UI, vegeta mastered SSJ Blue to a next level. Frieza has the gold form.

As for old Kai unlocking his potential it doesn’t really matter he uses that as a stepping stone he needed the power at the time and he then became more powerful to break his limits

@lebest3062 dude you literally have no brain if you think beast makes old kai's potential unlocking useless because literally beast form is an upgraded version of ultimate so no you're wrong about that and just because gohan has a life outside of fighting doesn't mean he can't train at times and get stronger lol (and let me tell you that gohan is in fact training to get stronger, he himself even mentioned to piccolo that he is secretly training, even piccolo himself didn't know who is supposed to be his mentor, which is also again how gohan unlocked special beam cannon and was string enough to fight the gammas while in the manga he was also strong enough to be a useful fighter, etc

lol everyone thought Gohan would transform into “Gohan Blanco” and beat Jiren. I was so mad when Gohan went out like this, I just swore he would unlock his hidden potential here. Unfortunately it happened in the lackluster movie Dragonball Superhero…
