Not quite AS big as a few of the people up there, but big nonetheless. Mainline Pocket is the place to be on an early-season powder day!

Landed a bit backseat in one or two cases, but overall this was by far my best Mainline session yet!

That was one of my favorite spots to ski in 93.

'93 was nearing the end of the golden era of skiing. Now it's just kooks with gopro's who can't stand on their ski's properly.

Absolutely insane! These videos are so awesome. I really like seeing the photos from the bottom with the red line. Really puts things in perspective!

Thanks! Yeah, I would like to do that more often. Need to take more pictures while I’m skiing!

Awesome job! What are the top things you keep in mind when hitting lines like this with more air?
@DaleySpam6 ай бұрын
Thanks! I think that accounting for the landing angle makes a big difference, for me steeper landings are much easier (and more fun) while flatter landings can require adjusting your angle in mid air to avoid tumbling forward. Besides that, in general it is just good to start smaller and build yourself up to bigger airs.

@@DaleySpamfantastic! Thank you! Are you just popping and making sure you don't lean back? I've been watching your progressions for a couple of years. It's been amazing to watch. We're going to Palisades for the second time in Feb. Really looking to trying some of these lines.
@DaleySpam6 ай бұрын
@@nicholasgreywitt9305 Nice! Yeah, I try to stay pretty upright but find that in powder it is better to be slightly leaning back than forward. Hopefully by February the whole mountain will be open!

Another question, what size underfoot and length are your skis you typically like to run usually at Squaw? I ran 118 under with 181 4FRNT Inthaynes the week I was there this season. I almost broke out my Ravens 104 under 184 length but never used em
@DaleySpamАй бұрын
So the ones in this video are 100 underfoot and 179cm. My other pair (Moment Wildcat 108s) are 108 underfoot and 190cm. The moments handle basically any conditions wonderfully (though I’m sure your 118s are even better in deep pow).

Yeah I was curious if longer skis feel better when you do bigger jumps like these.

Cameras never do slopes like this justice. If you you dropped a person with limited to no experience at the top of this (and it had no back trail), they would probably die of starvation before they stepped over.

I’m not one to make false excuses, but the GoPro effect is real with this one. The first two were very big, check ‘em out in comparison to the people standing up top in the third person pictures

@@davidgaster thanks man! Yeah, I’d say the first two were probably 15-20 feet
