Hi guys! In this weeks vlog we decided to launch on faire wholesale, which is an international wholesale marketplace so I thought I'd vlog the experience of getting set up etc. Would love to know your thoughts if you have used faire... Hope you enjoy!

Oh I’ve never liked anything so fast!💗🤗 I signed up on Faire about 2 months ago. No sales yet so deciding if it’s for me.

Ciao Georgina, complimenti per i video, guardando i tuoi video ho iniziato a fare candele ora sto testando un nuovo profumo con una nuova cera però vedo che la fiamma è troppo traballante e non mi piace. Credo dipenda dallo stoppino precerato potresti suggerirmi un tipo di stoppino diverso?

The only draw backs with FAIRE is initially you cannot do proforma invoices, so you have to find the funds for the materials for the order. In comparison to setting your own terms and requesting payment upfront... or am I doing it wrong??? let me know lol x

Are you going to start doing UFI numbers then if you are going to sell internationally through faire? I believe it’s only if selling in the UK you don’t need UFI numbers, I find it all very confusing which is what puts me off selling outside the UK! Thanks x

As far as I know this is related to EU legislation -- at the moment we have shipping to Europe switched off on faire until we have the UFI's done. When I'm all clued up I'd be happy to do a video on it 👍 x

Hi Georgina, what do you know about clp/sds and selling abroad? That’s all that was stopping us going on faire as we were unsure what we needed to do if we got an order abroad

Hey Chris 🙂 At the moment we've got selling to Europe switched off on faire so we don't yet need UFIs but it is something we're aware of and will get sorted when we have some more time, the next couple of weeks are very full on though and seemingly you do need to spend a lot of time doing them correctly. 👌

@@IvyTwineCandles thanks for the reply! We thought about turning that off and just using it for the UK but couldn’t find where to do it, any help would be perfect!

No prob ☺️ So from the brand portal, on the menu on the left hand side click on 'marketplace', then 'shop settings', then below the minimums it will say 'sell to European retailers' and you can toggle it off 👍

Hi, I'm a bit confused as my comment from Sunday has disappeared.😕 I'm curious how things will go for you at Faire, because I'm also considering putting my products there. I am also waiting for a delivery that has been at customs for 3 weeks. This drives me crazy. 😠😥🤨 I would also be very interested in how you deal with UFI and CLP/SDS. For me, that's the hardest part. I've not seen a comment from you on Sunday so I'm not sure what's happened there! How annoying 😬 Customs is a nightmare sometimes haha, part of the reason we stopped before doing international shipping so we'll see if it's at all better this time 🤦🏻‍♀️ At the moment we're not actively selling to Europe on faire so we don't yet need UFIs but it is something we're aware of and will get sorted when we have some more time, the next couple of weeks are very full on though and we've got our holiday right after 😂 But will keep you updated for sure 👌 Thanks again! @@IvyTwineCandles Then I wish you a nice holiday☀😎and that it doesn't get too stressful until then. Another crazy idea: What if you had someone in another country produce and ship for you? Perhaps as a license or franchise. Sorry, I don't have that much idea about it. I've always admired how you guys manage it all.👍😊

Faire gets 25%, should be beter use that money and build your brand and your clients. on Faire clients are from Faire.

The first commission rate is 25%, then ongoing orders are 15%. Your can also send a Faire direct link to get 0% commission. And they also cover the shipping costs and do guaranteed payouts so we won't get stung again by bad payers (on faire). There's almost always a cost of acquiring customers to some degree, for example the trade shows we go to cost a lot of money. So to get our products in front of people around the world, with all the above perks and more it does seem worth it for us, but each to their own!

Faire is to expensive.
