Wow, that's as close as I'm ever getting to riding in a plane. 🙂 A nice change of pace from milking, but I believe I prefer the barn. Kudos to Wilson, a thoughtful son.

My first flight was in a Ford Tri-Motor back in the mid 1960's as part of a YMCA trip. It was Island Airlines, which had flights from Port Clinton Ohio to Put-In-Bay Island and the surrounding islands in Lake Erie. I believe they were the last commercial airline to use the Tri-Motor, closing its doors in 1985. They carried passengers, the mail, and supplies to the islands year round.

That was a great gift. Flying is something else. We had a friend that became a pilot and we got to go up with her in a small plane. That was before google earth and we got to see our house from above for the first time. There's a small airport near here that has air shows every so often. My husband said that they had a Tri-Motor Ford there when we went to it one time. Wonder if they come to Michigan?. Have also had a ride in a helicopter and that was a once in a lifetime for me too. Thanks for the ride and good luck to Wilson on getting his training.

AMAZING video. I am amazed at the engineering that pioneered flight 100 years ago. I am amazed at those engines, still spinning like a top. But where's the radiator? The same place they put it on my '63 Volkswagen. How many cylinders on that engine? I tryed to count them and oddly I think there were 9. Those aerial shots over the lakes brought back memories of going to UW Madison 50 years ago, a long time and a long way from Crossroads, Mississippi where I currently reside. As Bob Hope used to sing, "Thanks for the Memories" 🎶🎵❤

we have our own plane as well, Tommy got his piolet's permit. i went for a ride to see the south farm last summer, quite the difference flying in a 4 seater then a large plane. Tommy takes our workers and family members to and from the south farm being its 420 miles away. Tommy told me to tell u guys that we decided not to see the lake side cabin but to rent it out monthly and save it for the kids. weather is still rather cool here not many days above 20c and still a lot of rain coming every couple days, Where is George, is he working in a bakery yet love to see what he looks like as a man. Wilson sure changed,

Great video guys. You are more brave than I am. I expected to see some rubber bands and baler twine holding that thing together. Glad you didn't have to flap your arms to get off the ground.

Ya know, we ended up taking it to market earlier this year, but, for the longest, we had a red Beefmaster bull around here named after Wilson. Maybe that RedBull gave Wilson wings😅? *That Wisconsin weather is PARADISE.. I'm looking at 60+ days of >100°F, already had ~10 of 'em, been 80°+ weather since April.... Tell the pilot to land that plane at Avenger Field in Sweetwater Texas- come rescue your poor subscriber😂

That's awesome them Ford Tri motors where based on the Fokker Tri motor. In Switzerland there used to be a airline called Ju-air that flown the legendary Ju 52 from Junkers two of there machines or was it three where once owned by the Swiss Luftwaffe when they got them New in the 1930s sadly the planes have been grounded. There is a Airline in Canada called Buffalo Air that flies DC3's
