OMG! A So Weird fan who also loves Buffy, Angel, and Joss Whedon works??? I'm a straight woman but screw it, *pulls out ring and bends on one knee*. Fantastic analysis btw. I immediately thought of Angel's epiphany episode when you started talking about how the show portrays both agnosticism and spirituality, and then you said it! If I may use a Buffy quote, "I kinda love you."

I loved this show pre-season 3 (Don't get me wrong, I love Alexz Johnson though, especially her music.) The lack of Fi was just too much for me to handle.

I was about 8 or 9 when i first saw the show. It scared the Shit out of me but i couldn't look away from all the interesting stories and subjects they talked about. It made me ask "Why" and made me want to question everything. A lot of shows cant do that anymore.

Right it does suck Disney should put a channel where we can watch all the old school shows like lizzie mcguire so weird thats so raven and even stevens.

Yeah, "Strange Geometry" with tortured souls' faces pushing out from walls scared me half to death as a kid.

Great analysis so far, I like it. I just finished season 2, and saw the 1st episode of season 3. So far this show is absolutely brilliant. I love how dark, mysterious, and strange it is, it really keeps me on the edge of my seat. This is the kind of show that I would consider groundbreaking, and the fact that Disney Channel was able to do so much with it is really impressive.

I used to get scared when the theme song came on or when Disney showed previews of “So Weird”. “Cold Case Files” and “Tales from the Crypt” were other ones I didn’t even wanna hear the theme song. Lol

Actually, I think the "vampire minion" spying on Fi from outside the traveling bus was a love interest of Fi's. I'd like to think he was protecting her.

It's such a shame that one can't watch the episodes from the user you linked: "This video contains content from Disney, who has blocked it on copyright grounds." (I was able to see some So Weird episodes a few years ago on KZfaq.) I miss So Weird so much.

My mom and I watched this all the time when I was a kid. I wish Disney would make these into DVDs so I can watch them cuz I can't find them anywhere online and good quality.

I loved this show it was what got me into creepy/ scary things. anyone remeber the Xmas one where fi gets sent to her childhood or something I remember that episode but sadly not much other episodes loved it!!! wish I could find episodes today! if anyone knows please let me know!!

Ah, So Weird, that's a show I haven't thought about in a long time. I don't recall all the religious subtext, it flew over my head when I was fifteen, but as an atheist who unironically enjoys theistic art, it's time for a rewatch.

Okay, I really need help. I remember watching a show (well, I only saw an episode) on Disney, and it was pretty scary. I'm still trying to find that show, lol. I remember that, in that episode, (this part was like a flashback) there were 2 friends, girls, and in their teenage years, one of them accidentally let the other fall over a bridge and something like that. And, in the present, something happened and they went back to the past, but they switched their places, and the other one fall over the bridge. The 'alive' one kinda replaces the other, stealing her life. Later on the episode, I remember something about a mirror, a man with an ugly face wearing a long, black robe (this one was the evil spirit), and there was a girl, who tried to solve the 'puzzle'. Ok, I know this is really, really messy, but is there anyone who knows the name of that show? Or movie?

So weird was one of the best shows of my child hood but on a side not There are no christian themes in so weird, an afterlife , angels , heaven and hell do not equal christianity, The mere fact that fiona is a witch cancels that out, Christ reveals that witches are using the power from satan and demons, as well as the father stricly forbidding witchcraft and anyone who does so is deemed an abomination because witchcraft even the false white magic, is powered by satan and used to harm the user or others without them being aware, So i wouldn't say its safe to say there are christian themes in so weird.
