6 жыл бұрынGojira - Born In Winter drum cover, off of the album L'Enfant Sauvage. This song is undoubtedly one of my all time Gojira favorites. The verse groove is so tasty and complex and was truly a pleasure to learn. The non-linear song structure works so damn well with the juxtaposition of quite and calm with heavy and intense parts. I'm considering doing a lesson video on the verse groove if any of y'all are interested.
I don't have good enough pedal speed so I used my floor tom as a bass drum hit during the bridge/breakdown part. I think it still fit the song okay. You know damn well I threw a Bleach Bypass filter on the video to give it a creepy feel. I love this song and hope I did Mario Duplantier's drumming justice. More Gojira on the way - stay tuned!

Wow. I thought this was actually impossible to play 100% because of thinking that the ghost notes roll was a separate track with the hi-hat, kick and snare thing. You've proved me wrong! Great talent. Edit: HOLY SHIT YOUR ENERGY IS SO CONTAGIOUS. I wish there was a love button or something, a like isn't enough.

Man I love when heavy bands play slower drums patterns that compliment everything (instead of overwhelming or sounding machine like with speed) but with power.

Fuck yes that was amazing \m/ that looks so hard, and you nailed it. The amount of control it takes to transition from such a soft groove into the heavy part and then back again is insane. It's cool to see how it's played. I had an idea, but this completely puts into perspective how technical it is.
