Gojira - The Gift of Guilt - drum cover
Hey everyone I'm finally back with a new drum cover. I have to say I'm ultra excited about this one for many reasons. First of all because of the song itself. The Gift of Guilt is an absolutely wonderful song from one of the greatest album of all time in my opinion. The drums alway felt like an unreachable challenge. The drum fills by Mario Duplantier on this one are crazy. Took quite a lot of practice to get there but very happy with how it turned out.
Second of all I changed completely the look and sound of this video. I wanted to do this for a long time but felt quite shy to do it. I started playing around with the lights I had and found this disposition way better. It's a bit less harsh than before, a bit easier on the eyes I would say.
Also I started doing the mixing from scratch and got a lot of help from my friend and bandmate Mortimer Baud. He knows way more about mixing than I do so I'm hoping to learn from him as much as possible and constantly improve the sound of my videos ! Be sure to check out our band Kassogtha linked below.
