I'm sure there's others dying to discuss it as well, so imma open the forum up: as an anime-only who viewed the manga chapters afterwards, yes, admittedly some panels could've been adapted better, most notably and most controversial being that of Gojo's iconic line that I'm sure I don't need to mention. I too feel like the adaptation of the panel did not hit as hard as it did in the manga; it also feels like there's more emphasis on how Gojo was looking down on Toji in the source material while Gojo is more or less just facing eye level in the episode. However, as an anime-only? It fucking hit hard still, and anyone who says that the episode was trash or poorly animated are either spoiled brats or manga readers that just wanna hate on the anime to feel like they're on a pedestal. Could the episode have been executed better and perfectly? Yes. Was it still a banging 9/10 with awesome animation as usual from Mappa? Also yes. Just my two cents 🤷
