I've been trying to look for other anime/manga moments like this, but I can't find them. I really love the trope where the protagonist give the villain another chance, and the villain still loses.

"Have you ever trained before?" Was a devious line to say right after someone breaks their arm trying to punch you. Imagine you in an NBA game and you hurt your ankle trying to guard someone, and they hit you with the "have you ever practiced playing before?"

I would agree if wasn't held down by ass writing like Moro just being Cell at home, Goku giving Moro a senzu bean, and being told to finish him off even though HE was the one telling GOHAN to do that back in the Cell Saga. And...Vegeta losing...to make Goku look good for the morbillionth time (Toriyama be trolling lmaooo). But, lots of things in Super that's good come with like things that are bad so you its whatever

Hot take, but this was the best DB arc since the cell saga.

@@tristysstuff6664 Goku giving Moro a senzu bean is completley different from Goku giving Cell a senzu bean. Anytime someone compares the two, I can tell who actually read the arc, and who just watched it with their eyes closed. Goku gave senzu bean because Merus spent the entire arc teaching Goku about justice, and commending Goku for being one to reform his enemies rather than kill them (Merus VERBATIM said this). By Giving Moro a second chance, Goku was simply respecting Merus's wishes and doing what Merus had taught him. Not comparable in the slightest to Goku giving Cell a senzu bean, especially becauase even WITH the senzu bean, Moro continued to get folded by goku. Meanwhile the senzu bean in the cell arc caused cell to beat the brakes off of Gohan, its two different situations.

It’d be even worse if his body just didn’t register the attack as worth dodging

Nah MUI chooses the most optimal movement, in that moment UI made his body stronger as necessary to counter moro's attack (as whis said).

@@raiden8991 No, Vegeta did acknowledge that Goku was better than him at that point in time, yes, but that didn't mean he wasn't going to train to surpass Goku anymore even Super acknowledged this by having Vegeta say he doesn't intend to stay as second place any longer and Vegeta finds his own path to power to stay on Goku's level consistently even sometimes reaching higher than Goku the purpose was Vegeta needed to stop chasing after Goku the way he was and instead surpass Goku in his own way which Super evolved him as character with

By End of Z Vegeta didn't care about surpassing Goku again and as much as I hate GT it still did a better Job than Super did with Both Goku's and Vegeta's character because they carried on that development. Vegeta at the end of the DBZ manga still states that he will surpass Goku one day, and no GT did not handle Vegeta well at all or even Goku. GT was the same series that had Goku announce that he wasn't a Saiyan and was an Earthling, Goku accepting his Saiyan side was already done in the Frieza saga and as for Vegeta I once again state the "You are number one" speech did not mean "You will always be better than me Kakarot." It was for Vegeta to find his own path to power to surpass Goku and not be #2 forever in his own way, Vegeta was not going to be content with being worse than Goku forever. That's not who he is

@@jsemicolona That was the point genius, Vegeta's character was supposed to develop even further after buu saga and tell me the part where Vegeta at the end of Z said that he'll surpass Goku again?? cuz he literally gave up chasing Goku and knew he will always be one step ahead of him. GT was also the same series where Goku and Vegeta achieved and embraced a form that described their saiyan heritage, and I can also accuse of not knowing Goku's character because most of the time he chooses to be like am earthling than a saiyan even in super. In frieza during the frieza saga he still refers himself to be a saiyan raised on Earth. "You are better than me Kakarot, You are number 1" that's literally Vegeta accepting that he will now only pursue strength for himself and to protect his loved ones, he no longer chose to surpass Goku, that's what Character development truly is.
