Something similar happened to my dad. He took in a younger woman with 'problems', but she was really taking him for granted, using him to get what she wanted. Everyone tried to tell him the truth that she was just using him as a meal ticket, but he refused to listen. Whenever she made outrageous allegations against someone, he always believed her, no questions asked, even without proof. He lost everything because of her, his marriage, the condo he was going to retire to, the respect of his family and an entire community, and even his health. Even after everything he did for her, the moment he was no longer of any value to her, she cast him aside like he meant nothing to her. And even after everything she did to so many people, he allowed her to just walk away unpunished. All because of his stupid pride. He was too proud to admit to everyone that he had made a mistake, and too stuborn to admit when he was wrong. He believed that he would have lost face in the community if he did either, and yet he still did. He had a series of strokes and now lives in an assisted living center, practically forsaken by everyone, hardly getting any phone calls or visitors.

This man is too trusting, and he doesn't have that much experience with women. The way she acted at the restaurant indicates that she isn't interested in him.

Be ashamed if you have to constantly ask your man for "shopping" money.

Why is he being so nice to the woman who conned him?!?!

We live with the choices we make. The lesson from the first story is “The wrong one will find you in peace and leave you in pieces. The right one will find you in pieces and lead you to peace.”

Pay attention when someone keeps saying "my," and not "our." Speaks volumes on how they feel about you.
