I love the simple detail that literally almost everyone ignores: when Mista touched Rolling Stones, it had the words "bad luck" on it and it shocked him even though Mista wasn't the target, meaning the reason why he got so fucked up during Part 5 is because he was "cursed" with bad luck until the fate Rolling Stones saw is completed. And that Rolling Stones will curse you if you touch it and you're not the one it's targeting. Notice how Mista is the one that almost dies but he actually never does, while Narancia and Abbacchio went out with literally one hit?

@@rampant1apart it’s not just that it’s unlucky as to why Mista hates it. It’s also because of his past, when he helped that women it was four men who he killed in which if he never did that then he would never have ended up in this life as a ganagster. He seems as if he’s ok with his life now because he’s just accepted it but he doesn’t particularly like it either, this is further shown in the Purple Haze Feedback story.

To clarify, Gold Experience Requiem's new ability is "return to zero," which you can think of as being the exact opposite of King Crimson's ability in terms of causal manipulation - by erasing time and 'only leaving the result,' KC is taking the cause away from the effect. GER can 'reset any action,' basically rewinding time to right before that action happened, taking the effect away from the cause. If you try to do something that GER doesn't want, it will automatically reset reality to before you did it, and because it's automatic, Giorno is literally invincible since nobody can ever attack him. Diavolo's vision of him killing Giorno wasn't necessarily wrong because that IS what would've happened if GER didn't have the power to intervene. Then Diavolo got stuck in an infinite death loop because GER took away the effect (actually dying) but left the cause (the process of dying). GER IS the most powerful stand in the entire (canon) series. There are a few stands after part 5 that people argue are more powerful than or on the same level as GER (Made in Heaven, Tusk: Act 4, and Wonder of U) but because GER automatically counters everything they do, it's inarguably on top. 100% busted af

3 years late but Jojo power scaling is weird as shit, technically GER should beat everything but at the same time some stands are the immovable object vs unstoppable force debate. Made in heaven doesn't necessarily fit this bill since Pucci's win condition with made in heaven doesn't require harming Giorno (which GER only reverts directly harmful acts since it only activated when KC was attacking Giorno and not blinding him with blood). However for the others like Wonder of U being the entire universe preventing you from even coming near a guy or S&W Go Beyond basically able to ignore any ability including GER's ability since it's a non-existent attack, etc are all open ended thoughts on whether or not who would win. Tusk Act 4 vs D4C: love train was basically: "Well I have an invincible shield that can block an attack from any sword!" "Yeah but I have an unstoppable sword that can pierce through any shield!"

It kept getting picked up by YT. So I had to cut it out altogether. Second half of part 5 was giving us problems that's why we cut out so much. If it's any consolation they didn't notice the Dio pose on the first watch, but I think they rewatched it after people told them on Patreon.

i think requiem stands are the most desired user's wish, kira wanted to go back and have a power to let himself not get caught so he got a broken time rewind ability, giorno wanted to prevent diavolo to get the arrow and not let him get to his goal so he got GER

requiem stands are stands that are PIERCED by the arrow, bites the dust is a power up because it PIERECED kira, not the stand

Wrong, Kira himself evolved meaning he gained a new ability. Requiem stands are when a stand itself is pierced by the stand arrow (but one with more of the "virus" than normal so Black Sabbath's arrow would've done nothing). There's only 2 requiem stands, Chariot Requiem and GER but Chariot Requiem, similar to the musical reference it comes from (Mozart's requiem) is incomplete (similarly, Polnareff couldn't control Chariot Requiem), thus it's not called Silver Chariot Requiem but instead was completed by Gold Experience Requiem, which also happens to play on the name of their stands (one being Silver and one being Gold)

Yeah Requiem seems to change the stands appearance along with it’s new ability, Killer Queen remained the same. If anything it’d be more like a half requiem.

My absolute favorite description of what Gold Experience Requiem is doing is that's it's causing real-world packet-loss. Like in laggy online game where you do some sort of action, but the server never actually registers it as having happened, and then you get rubber-banded back to the results of what happened server-side. Diavolo takes an action, experiences himself taking the action, but those actions don't register with reality, and then he gets exited back into the actual version of events that took place.

I mean it the same thing in Stardust Crusader, Polnareff was the one who get clapped the most but was alive in the end. Now that I think about it, Diamond is Unbreakable is the only part where no one significant died at the end

@@Tenmon_dono not only that, that is just if he kills you with ger, in reality, its not only the genjutsu, but the genjutsu is the result of the revert to zero, aka literally anything including people's wills and desires in relation to giorno to cause harm or whatever get reset back the fuck to zero. GER is the Immovable object in the equation of an unstoppable force meets an immovable object.

"Bruno's been dead for like 3 weeks" Funny story actually, how do I put this? All this has been like a week. This entire adventure took place within like a week, MAYBE two tops. Also, all Diavolo's visions of his end that never comes are references as well; the autopsy table is referencing Ciocolatta and Secco, him getting run over is a reference to how Doppio was introduced, and the girl is a reference to Trish, an innocent girl he's never met who he thought would be the end of him.

We saw it in his fight with Risotto. Epitaph is not a concrete vision of the future, but the boss believed it was. He believed fate was on his side, and that overconfidence and hubris is what lead him to getting his sh*t kicked in.

the wildest thing I learned is that this WHOLE part is like one week or so... like WHUT??? allllll this happened in a week? that's one hellish ass week for these folks. and to think that Giorno bonded with them so quickly if that's the case. like, even tho him and Leone didn't always see eye to eye, you can tell he cared enough to feel something when he died. but I hear traumatic events like this can bond people sometimes.

I think the best explanation/cliff note version of King Crimson and Gold Experience Requiem (G.E.R.) was that someone said they are cause and effect. King Crimson erases the cause but leaves the effect. And G.E.R. leaves the cause but erases the effect.

There are many many many many times in the verse where a character will use a hax ability on another character for example Goku VS Yakon, Goku VS Hit,and Jiren VS Hit. The most consistent factor that all these battles have is that these characters break out of he hax through sheer willpower and strength. It goes like this when a character in Dragon Ball proves to be more powerful that another character they can negate their opponents hax. In Super it's taken to another level when Beerus proves to be immune to Arale's gag character abilities because he is a God of destruction his power outweighs her's. Now if GER and Goku fought initially fought he'd start using his live giver abilities and when realizing they won't work on Goku he'd try to hit him with RTZ and it simply wouldn't work because again if we use dragon ball logic unless GER proves to be more powerful than Goku which it is not it's abilities won't work. Time and time again Goku has powered up through broken hax and there's just no proof that GER abilities would work on just anyone. Goku's abilities are on a different dimensional plane than Giorno and being that GER can only manipulate cause and effect being that he only uses it to negate the effect of his opponents attacks. GER is broken but it doesn have the DC to even damage Goku.

The easiest way to describe what Golden Experience Requiem does is it removes the Effect from Cause. GER doesn't rewind time or change the future or anything like that; it simply says no matter what action you take, no matter what decision you make, no matter what attack you perform, no matter what vision of the future you see. I will say No, and that action will have never happened, nor will that future ever come to be. Even in the vacuum of complete timelessness and broken reality, GER just says No and it never happens.

The stand basically makes things not happen. It’s called “RTZ” Return To Zero. And it can reverse actions to before they happened and so it’s not necessarily reversing Time its specifically actions because people still remember it. And with this power he basically just is continuously reverting Diavolo to not dying so he does forever and yeah GER can literally just throw people into loops whenever he wants basically time loops but at the same time not really.

Just for clarification if ya'll didn't get this from the episode: Requiem's true power is to grant the one stabbed by it what they desire most in that moment. For Polnareff it was to stop Diavolo from getting the arrow. So his requiem developed into something that took every possible precaution to stop anyone from getting the arrow. In Giornio's case, it was to defeat Diavolo, so he got a requiem stand that was built to stop Diavolo from winning by never letting him reach the truth, aka his victory. And, if you really wanna overanalyze things, then you can go back to part 4. When Kira was stabbed by the arrow again, he wanted to stop Hayato from telling anyone about his identity. So, his new ability was literally built to stop that exact thing from happening. So, many people believe that bites the dust is actually just Killer Queen requiem.

The will that Kira had when he accidentally killed Hayato his desire to reverse his actions was so strong the arrow struck him and his stand a second time because he had the will to have the power to reset his mistakes and actions thus bites the dust was given to killer Queen.
