Yes, I think the message is that you should care about the journey, not just the results. That's why I think Mista didn't actually change who would have died, he only changed the circumstances that lead to the deaths.

If Buccellati was supposed to die and if he would have died then, Fugo or someone would have gone to see Giorno and they would have not followed through with Giorno’s plan so Abbachio and Narancia wouldn’t have died. But because Buccellati didn’t die now fate was altered a bit and caused Narancia and Fugo to die. But as the guy said it would serve a higher purpose which it did, all three of their sacrifices helped Giorno reach his dream of changing Italy. (Btw I got this from another comment)

@@demontiming3234 well actually Rolling Stones was trying to save Bruno from his fated death (that being his fight with Diavolo), but due to this incident Bruno ended up going to investigate Giorno instead of Fugo, that enabled Giorno joining Passione and ultimately being able to heal Bruno, making the whole Traitor arc posible. so in a sad turn of event Mista is ultimately responsible of Abbacchio & Narancia's death.

@@ukiki65 what I mean is that if the whole Rolling Stones arc didn't happen, Fugo would have gone looking for Giorno, and I find it hard to believe that he would just go with Giorno's plan. So without Giorno, Bruno dies at the hands of Diavolo alongside Trish.

no he didn’t change anything. he though he prevented bruno’s death but bruno narancia and abbachio were always fated to die. the stone only makes it so people who are going to die can do so peacefully

@@user-dk7ic1ci2z if bruno had died then giorno wouldnt have met him. Resulting in him meeting mista or Fugo. They wouldnt want Giorno to join the gang and especially wouldnt want to betray the boss. Therefore making Giorno not join the gang and narancia and abbacchio not fated to die due to the boss
