I believe yes a Massasauga rattlesnake, they are definitely are found in and around the Parry Sound area. They don't seem to be aggressive, but will instinctively react if your a perceived threat. Yes agree, Parry Sound holds many mineral assemblages. Great video and look forward to seeing more of your adventures. Take care and enjoy the area there is lots to see and discover there. Lloyd.

Hi Raf, to share in around Madoc you may find gold, I made a video a while back but maybe pyrrhotite most likely (it sounded on my metal detector, I made a video of it on KZfaq), but let me be positive I think I may have found gold. I say that because it was close to the Golden Fleece Mine. I ran into a Massassauga rattler too fierce looking (could have been the baby of the one you saw!) at HWY 507 roadcut looking for scapolite which hardly existed, squeezed almost dry of anything fruity, but lots of snakes though there! Thanks for sharing, great video keep adding your great content. Maybe run into you on a rock trip one of these days..
