Alaska threw everything at us the last week in May: rain, snow, and more rain! But don't worry, this adventure wasn't all downpours.
We found great places to boondocks between Tok and Glacier View (although, please remember that two weeks solid of boon docking means two week of NO showers...)
The rain didn't hold us back from gold panning near the Matanuska river and we snagged a picture-perfect day to conquer Lion Head; Glacier Hiking can be very pricey for a family of 7, so we skipped the $$ guided tour and paid in sweat to get a bird's eye view of this incredible glacier...and the views were straight out of a dream. Come experience a moment that felt like being on top of the world! This is Alaska, and it's UNREAL!
