Looks like a great spot! I wonder if there was a glacier in that area a long time ago, since there's tons of boulders there. Good job in finding the gold!

@MishaBoylan I think you got the right idea, but think about ancient river flows too , so high up on benches following the same rules you can find pockets... Your finding flour gold and little wire gold, that's good,.. depending on your state laws, Dredge saves you a ton of work panning, you can also get a floating hooka and some weights and go down with a mask and crevas the bottom, always best to do both for mention with a buddy. The source for the gold your finding likely isnt RIGHT there. The main bedrock and loose boulders are granodiorite. Look for locations where that granodiorite is contacting another rock type. I dont know you are so i cant surmise which other rock type you may be looking for. If you are in the northeast, look for metamorphosed schist contacting the granodiorite as a likely source. If you are in the north US, look for a contact between limestone and the granodiorite. In the northwest, the contact would be between phyllite or possibly ryholite and granodiorite. In the west, the contact would be ryholite or possibly serpentine or serpentanite and the granodiorite. Not point in including the southwest because you're obviously not there LOL. at the very beginning of the video, on your hike down towards the river, i thought I could see a contact between the granodiorite and mayyybbeee basalt ? But that would be a very odd combination to have granodiorite sitting on top of basalt. Any insight to general area you are would help narrow down the possibilities geologically.
